MiBG Winterfest 2010: Mostly opaque with little head but some oily legs. The nose detects full frontal bourbon tones along with some sweet malts, butterscotch and herbal hops, quite weak honestly. The taste starts with some twangy dark fruit and cheap whiskey, one note and lacks any depth. The mouth feel is soft but a tad boozy. This is simply a average stout made worse by poor bourbon aging.

5th Annual MBG Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Overwhelming diacetyl aroma. Thin, dry body with heavy emphasis on bourbon and wood, no malt complexity or heft. Tasted like a dry stout with a shot of bourbon thrown in for ill measure. A brief halt to the festivities.
