Brewing with wheat as well as barley is an ancient tradition that stretches back to the earliest days of brewing. The Egyptian Sun god smiles on this refreshing wheat ale with character notes of ginger and coriander. This brew goes great with an astral projection and summer time lovin’.

On tap at the brewpub - a big, bold, spicy bitter type that to my mind was all Belgian. At 7-7.5% ABV it was biggest beer on the list. A funky brew that easliy stood up to the Hip Hop IPA which I sandwiched in between Sun Ra’s.

MBGSF 2011. Poured an clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate rye and wheat aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Sample at the brewpub on 7/23/11. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin white head. Aroma of wheat malt, orange and coriander. Wheat and coriander flavor with a bitter orange finish. Probably the best beer I tried there.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy bright yellow with a white head. Aroma of ginger, wheat, and grainy malt. Flavor is very grainy with lots of spices especially ginger and yeast notes. Ginger and spices dominated this one and it was just ok for me. 6/4/7/3/12 [3.2/5]
