Wow! I have never had a wheat beer with as strong a banana ester as this one. Dominates the aroma as well with undertone of citrus and cardamon. Pale yellow color with slightly hazy pour.

Draft at MBGSF 2011. Poured hazy yellow color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate wheat citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

Sample at the brewpub on 7/23/11. Hazy yellow/orange pour with a thin white head. Typical hefe nose of banana, clove and wheat. Banana and clove flavor with a bit of pepper before a dry finish. I just can’t seem to acquire a taste for this style, try as I may.

Pours a hazy golden color with a creamy white head that leave some decent lacing. The aroma smells of wheat and fresh sweet and citrusy fruit like oranges and bananas, it’s pretty damn good actually. The taste follows the nose with a tasty combo of wheat and fresh fruit. The palate is a bit creamy yet pretty damn refreshing. Overall this is a very good wheat beer that’s great for summer.

Tap at Brewpub. Rocky, frothy white head with excellent lacing. Murky milk like appearance. Little aroma, slightly of cereal. Flavor is very watery and finishes with slight banana flavor. Not fan of Hefeneizen yeastyness.

No Black Lotus’ strongest. Somewhat light, but also too much lemon in it. I’d say a bit overboard with the citrus.
