1945 Berliner Weisse Berliner Weisse is a very pale, sour, refreshing, low-alcohol wheat ale, and regional specialty of Berlin. Berliner Weisse was referred to by Napoleon’s troops in 1809 as "the Champagne of the North" due to its lively and elegant character. Enjoy the tart, refreshing flavor by itself, or try a more traditional German approach by mixing with a shot raspberry, woodruff, or other flavored syrup.

Bottle shared with a friend. Hazy yellow with a decent head. Aroma did not give away the nice tartness that was to follow in the flavor. I like this. Usually a Berliner Weisse leaves me wanting in the sour department, but this one left me happy.

Draft at Uber in Seattle. Almost clear, super pale yellow, white cream. Soft grainy aroma. Soft, a little lemony bite, cereal grain finish. Liquid cheerios. Nice, quenching, a bit of honey.

Appearance: slightly hazy pale gold with one finger of rocky white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, spotty lacing. (3/5) Aroma: muted, wheat, citrus, slightly funky. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, moderate sour. (8/10) Palate: light body, moderate carbonation, dry and emphatic sour finish. (4/5) A pretty authentic example of the style - low ABV, lightly wheat and fruity flavours on a moderately sour base. Tart and refreshing. (15/20)

650ml brown bottle. Pours out yellow with haze. Large white head. Nose has red berries, lemon, dusty wheat. Taste - lemon, tangy, wheat and grain. Light tart lemony finish. Good mouthfeel. Very solid.

I really like this. A bit heavy and strong for the style. Pour is a bright golden copper with a thin spritz white head. The nose is a mildly sour with citrus and grassy notes. Nice and mildly sweet with sourness lingering for a while. Tart and fruity.

Lemon grain aromas. Murky gold no head. Thin light mostly flat lemon water poured over cornflakes. Weird.

650ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that settles to reveal only a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is light lemon and grains. Taste is a bold lemon sourness with a fruity and malty sweetness and a dry finish. Light bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, this is a sour beast, definitely not for the faint at heart.

Rollin down the street, smokin indo, sippin on 1945 and syrup. Laid back [with my mind on my money and my money on my mind]

On tap at Toronado Seattle. Light amber, bit of head. Clean lacto nose and character. Quite wheaty. Celery and light orchard fruit. Fairly tart, dry finish. Pretty good.
