3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
650ml bottle. Pours a handsome copper amber, with a large light beige head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Bitter herbal and sappy hops dominate the aroma, with burnt caramel and toffee hidden in there as well. Strong sappy and herbal hops up front give way to toffee in the mid-palate, with a resin undercurrent running through. Soft toffee malt gives it a surprisingly smooth finish. This is not bad, but I’m not a huge fan of the hops flavours, which seem overly herbaceous. It is quite well-balanced, on the plus side.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark crimson color with a tightly packed eggshell foam. More malt than hop, making it a bit muddy. Disjointed flavors and a bit of alcohol heat. An average beer in every way but its ABV.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a deep copper color with a red tinge to it. The aroma is typical of Imperial Reds, with a malty taste. A good flavorful bitterness throughout the beer with a lingering bitterness on the palate.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Solid if forgettable red. It’s all here -- strong red malt backbone, hoppy bitterness etc. well balanced too. But at the end of the day, nothing strikes me as a go back to beer here. But I’m having a bad day, so I may be too harsh.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Dirty amber, thick, sediment floating about, moderate frothy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Malty aroma, caramel, bready, also a bit of heavy mash like qualities.   A bit of citrus peel, slightly candied.   Mealy up front, cereal, some of that mash.   Walk past a brewery, small the boil/mash, and this is what it tastes like.   Seems a bit unfinished.   Decent body and mouthfeel, but lots of cereal and mealy notes linger.   Good in some ways, not so good in others.   Seems unfinished and not as clean as I would have preferred.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Love the that deep russet color! This thing is big, and it taste big too! Which is not necessarily good. Huge hops! Huge malty backbone too. Everything is turned up on high; the result, for me, is good, but not exceptional. Serving: 22oz bottle via craftbeerconnect

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bomber pours with a nice looking clear deep ruby red body that supports a tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up lots of malts and some crystal like malts that blend with a sweetened citrus note as well as some vague resiny hops and a bit of booze. The taste is smooth with thick malt sweetness rolling into thin ribbons of roasted malts, coffee, nuttiness, some malt sweetened fruity citrus. Behind those notes a thin vague sort of bitter resiny hops is noticed. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear reddish amber pour, with an off white head. Caramel malt, sweet fruitiness, citrus, hop bitterness, fruit candy, and pine. A nice strong red ale.
