COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Liberation IPA Is an Imperial IPA, which means that we took the malt and hop character of a regular IPA and kicked everything up a few notches. Liberation is a malt and hop powerhouse that drinks smooth and hides its strength. Drink this one fresh to preserve all the hoppy goodness.
Hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Columbus
Malt: Pale, Crystal, Wheat

22 bomber to tulip. Pours hazy orange amber, beige head. Aroma of booze, floral, cooked carrots or bergamot, wet hops and spice. Taste of same with boozy warm finish. Quite warm. As beer warms the nose gets a lot of oaky and pear red wine booze aroma and flavors.

Pours a clear orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, mango, passionfruit, orange peel, sweet pale malts and some pine. Taste is a big burst of tropical fruits, passionfruit, papaya, sweet caramel malts, light pine and a nice medium dry finish. Great balance with a smooth bitterness and flavor... Love this ipa!

Very rich amber pour with a foamy off white head. Tons of lacing. Aroma of pears and pine. Has a nice bitterness and hides the abv well with bitter hoppy goodness.

Quite enjoyable. Pours a light orangey gold with a huge off white head. There is not very much lacing. The aroma is fresh, fruity, a bit floral, citrusy and a bit spicy. Nice and heavy hops that over balance malts. Light caramel, grass, floral and spicy notes. Crisp, resinous, heavy body. Good brew.

Pours clear pale amber with two fat fingers of fluffy off-white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is grainy caramel, grapefruit, pine resin, some stone fruit and light floral. (7/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (7/10) Medium to heavy body, moderate carbonation, slightly syrupy and oily texture, lingering bitter finish. (4/5) Well, it’s maltier than I’d prefer, but I can’t really call it “malt-forward” like so many other DIPA’s tend to be. I’d call it balanced and even-handed... but I’d still prefer more hop-forward. Good, but short of great. (15/20)

650ml bomber pours a pale amber color with a generous white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and grapefruit with some mild caramel and grainy notes. Taste is a bold grapefruit and pine hop bitterness with a light caramel and fruity sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation that pleases the palate. Overall, this brew is not quite there with the better DIPA’s, but still is a good one.

Braudog (6024) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 31, 2015
Bottle. Big and ruddy, with a thick rusty orange hue and a towering foam head. The aroma is thick with sap, wet and mossy bark, and bitter hops. The beer drinks with the same mushy, northwestern forest flavors. (#5952, 3/30/2015)
