3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from can into British style pint glass. Rich gold color with slight haze. Not much of an upfront aroma but there is a late hint of fresh tropical fruits such as papaya. Initial taste of citrus followed by the rye bite and lingering blend of hoppy bitterness. Noticeable astringent alcohol warm apparent.

Clear orange beer, big irregular off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of tropical fruits, mango, some caramel, pineapple. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very fruity start, bit sweet, mango, passion fruit, grapefruit, nice bitterness, some citrus, lovely stuff! Aftertaste: bit grassy, grapefruit, honey touch, some caramel, tropical fruits in the finish as well. Nice stuff.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
7.5%ABV. Rye IPA.
Tapped out Amber. 8ºSRM.
Nose has citrus and pine and a faint petroleum-diesel like aroma. Strange.
Mouthfeel is alcoholic. There is a thick cloud of alcohol that transitions directly to the bitter resin, deep green pine, pine sap like bitter of the hops. Grain palate is caramel, deeply toasted malt, barley bread, salt water taffy.
Finish is pine, citrus peel and hyssop. Medium long and so very very satisfying.
I can’t explain it, but made me feel like I just had a nice thick slice of rum cake.
