A golden/amber beer that showcases bold American hops with the extra flavor dimension of the use of rye malt as 20% of the malt bill. This is a shockingly balanced IPA, in the sense that we include just enough malt character to counter the otherwise intense bitterness typically found in an American IPA, making for an immensely pleasant experience for your palate.
Hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Columbus
Malt: Pale, Rye, Crystal

This brew pours a hazy sunrise color with a thick foamy orange-tinted cream head. Lovely, bracingly fresh floral hop aroma with some pine-scented influence. Juicy hop body with some pine resins and perhaps a hint of rye. Wet hop finish, perhaps a touch of alcohol heat on the breathy finish.

Ok. Light Amber pour light carbonation. Some pine in hop aroma. Flavor of a sour dough and some rye, hops are present but not discernible. Finishes bready.

Bomber to pint glass. Spiciness dominates. Blood orange. Faint cardboard. Bready fruit cake. Turbid orange with full off white head. Flavor is moderate high orange. Breadiness from the rye really leaves a cloying feel to it. Besides the cardboard and weird cloying aspect, this beer actually is not too bad.

Poured from 12 oz. can. Clear, copper orange with a 3-finger off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of mango, orange marmalade and pineapple. Taste of orange, pine, rye bread, caramel and tropical fruit. Medium body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy copper with a big off-white head. Aroma of orange marmalade, overripe fruit, and stale crystal malts. Taste of orange, orange marmalade, and spice. Full body. Sweet to almost cloying. This beer reminds me of how IPAs use to be - very sweet, with lots of crystal malt, and with lots of hops to "balance it out". Iím guessing that the crystal notes here are actually mostly from the rye, but if thatís the case thatís way too much rye. Try it again BMB, and replace have the rye with simple sugar. (Just friendly advice ;) )

Can. Pours orange with a white head. Sweetish toffee malts, bitter orange peel marmalade, moderate bitterness, some floral notes, and an herbal and lightly citric finish. Fine; not great.

Can. Light amber, hazy, with a thin head. Has that rich chewy rye character that goes with sort of stale hops. Moderate bitterness, light rye character, a touch of piney hop in the finish. Ok,

an, bbotmc. Cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma of black pepper and molasses and some pine. Rye dryness in the mouth with some candy sweetness, black pepper, a little bitter. Medium body, sweetish finish. OK, a little old, I think.

Can. Hazy amber with an off-white head. Nice citric and piney hops aroma, just a bit stale, with malt, and some spicy rye. Sweetish malt flavor with toast, a bit of caramel, some rye, and a bitter hops finish, a bit piney and citric. Medium-bodied. Decent, but could be fresher.
