A golden/amber beer that showcases bold American hops with the extra flavor dimension of the use of rye malt as 20% of the malt bill. This is a shockingly balanced IPA, in the sense that we include just enough malt character to counter the otherwise intense bitterness typically found in an American IPA, making for an immensely pleasant experience for your palate.
Hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Columbus
Malt: Pale, Rye, Crystal

Very smooth and balanced. The rye malt flavor is subdued but persistent. Hoppiness comes in at the end with a finishing bitterness. Substantial mouthfeel. A- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bomber pours up with a clear copper body that supports a nice light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a mix of resiny pine hops and some sweet candied pine, candied apple fruit and some molasses. The taste is sugary candy sweet and bitter resiny pine hops that are both heading in opposite directions and seem to tear the experience apart. Sugary candy and grassy resiny pine hop bitterness are note working too well for me here.

Had this once before, a while ago, & forgot how good it is. Itís orange in color, with a nice level of carbonation & a lovely piney, floral & subtly spicey aroma. Mouth feel is thin, but the flavor is really nicely balanced between sweet citrus-pine-floral hops & malted barley... Delightful!

Bottle, thanks Stawn! Pours hazy amber ith a medium creamy tan head that sticks around forever and laces well. Aroma is caramel, pine needles and tree resin. Flavor is the same, light sweet and light bitter, some rye bite. Medium body, very smooth mouthfeel. Where are the nuanced hop flavors and aromas? I suspect this has some freshness issues, but since they DONT DATE THEIR BOTTLES, its nobodies fault but theirs.

Hayzeus! Smells like a tropical fruit bomb backed with a mild rye body. Super light for the ABV and probably the best thing Iíve had from Black Market yet. Tasty! Catch up Washington!

From notes. Huge rye spiciness and hops with sweet malt. The perfect rye beer for me. Sweet bread, resin and grapefruit. Spiced pie undertones and great IPA overtones. Wish more rye ipas tasted this good.

Pretty decent rye IPA, balanced malt profile. Decent overall beer for not having a strong hop profile.

Pours a clear copper golden color with a very short white head with coverage of nearly the entire inside of the glass with white lace. Mild apricot and citrus esters on the nose. Very smooth, mildly cottony mouthfeel with a bit of a carbonation scrub at the finish. Blended flavors, but not entirely sure of what. Everything is complimentary, but nothing is discernible to me. Sweet and mildly tart. A bit of citrus appears 3/4 of the way through and finishes with some bitterness. Not bad. Pretty drinkable.

On tap at the brewery. Light copper, clear, with a medium head that bubbles down nicely, and good lacing. The aroma is just bitter and simple, not a whole lot to it. The rye comes through clear as day in the taste, I just donít think Iím a fan. This is a new style for me, and I donít think it adds much, personally. The rye is too strong--it masks other flavors in the beer, I think. Itís still an OK drinkable beer, but Iíll probably stay away from Rye IPAs from now on.

Pours amber with a white head. Grapefruit, pine, some rye, some sweetness. The Rye flavor is subtle but it's a great IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
