COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden/amber beer that showcases bold American hops with the extra flavor dimension of the use of rye malt as 20% of the malt bill. This is a shockingly balanced IPA, in the sense that we include just enough malt character to counter the otherwise intense bitterness typically found in an American IPA, making for an immensely pleasant experience for your palate.
Hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Columbus
Malt: Pale, Rye, Crystal

Bomber purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar ($4.79). Pours a hazy darker orange-red color with giant fluffy off-white head with really long retention. Aroma of juicy grapefruit, tangerine, moderate rye, some caramel, and pine. Flavor of grapefruit with some pineapple and orange, spicy hops and spicy rye, grassy hops, and a bit of caramel. Dry finish with moderate bitterness. Good RyePA. (53, 784)

Clear amber color with ivory foam. Pine, floral aromas with mild plastic. Medium body. Nice floral, pine hop flavors with a heavy rye bread maltiness---the plastic smell fades as the brew warms====good

Bottle:   Dark dirty amber, a little on the orange side, large frothy sandy head, nice lacing.   Soft sweet citrusy nose, rye, a little bit resiny.   Smooth, bitter but not biting, citrus peel (candied), with a little pine and apricot bringing up the rear.   Slight alcohol, a tad warming.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Clean finish, Rye comes out a bit more here.   Great balance, bitter, but with enough citrus and fruity sweetness to make it an enjoyable experience.   One of the better rye IPAs I have had in a long while.

Bottle. Not sure why, but was not expecting much. Big airy head and tons of lacing. Big citrus aroma. Flavor was really good and does not have the overpowering taste of rye like some beers. Hoppy yet a subtle sweetness about it. Big hop bite in finish and even a bit oily on the tongue. Great ipa.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, very hazy orange red with nice fluffy slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of lots of rye, caramel, some nice pine, grass, lemony spice, hints of some slight citrus, pretty earthy as well. Taste is pretty well balanced, a big dose of rye, some nice sweet orange marmalade, grapefruit, into sweet caramel, slight spice and lemony notes from the rye come through again, finishing slightly bitter but wish it had slightly more bite.
