COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden/amber beer that showcases bold American hops with the extra flavor dimension of the use of rye malt as 20% of the malt bill. This is a shockingly balanced IPA, in the sense that we include just enough malt character to counter the otherwise intense bitterness typically found in an American IPA, making for an immensely pleasant experience for your palate.
Hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Columbus
Malt: Pale, Rye, Crystal

7.5%ABV. Rye IPA. Tapped out Amber. 8ºSRM. Nose has citrus and pine and a faint petroleum-diesel like aroma. Strange. Mouthfeel is alcoholic. There is a thick cloud of alcohol that transitions directly to the bitter resin, deep green pine, pine sap like bitter of the hops. Grain palate is caramel, deeply toasted malt, barley bread, salt water taffy. Finish is pine, citrus peel and hyssop. Medium long and so very very satisfying. I can’t explain it, but made me feel like I just had a nice thick slice of rum cake. Goes on Favorites List!

Can. Lightly hazy gold beer, good cream colour head. Piney nose with lesser skunk. Palate is soft, mildly dry and has decent fine carbonation. Nice malts, fluffy and with a nice light sweetness. Hops bring a good amount of spiciy orange with lesser pine and skunk. Smooth finish, piney linger. Seems to lack any rye punch but it’s a smooth and well balanced IPA that goes down very well.

Can from Beer Gonzo webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry, consumed at home Sunday 17th January 2016 Hazy light gold ah..maybe mid warm gold a sticky warm head sits atop.A soft mouthfeel the hops are quite assertive (quite) but it’s also a malty beer. Whilst there is a little caramel underpinning things the pine resin really shines, just looked at the abv, surprised to see that this is 7.5% it is far too drinkable. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7
