Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, brown sugar, yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long to average duration. Vinous aroma of port and fruit. Quite full-bodied with plenty of burned caramel, some sherry and an oxidized edge. No bitterness. 230808 yngwie (3762), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 29, 2008 Bottle, shared by some nice Dane. A brown, almost clear beer with a medium sized beige head. Sweet and sugary on the nose, with raisins and caramel as well. The flavor is sweet and raisiny too, some alcohol detected, but just a wee flavor. And some caramel. Full-bodied and slightly sticky on the palate, and a raisiny finish. A quite nice beer, but far from extra-ordinary. The flavour has sweetness, notes of dark fruits, roasted malt, caramel and hints of chocolate and a little licorice. It’s nice and harmonic. faroeviking (4547), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Botella. Hazy dark brown colour. Bitter alco aroma with fruits. the flavour is yeasty and malty with some alcohol and spices. Nice Belgian strong ale.
