Cask at the brewery. Nov. 11, 2011. Pours a very dark brown with some ruby hues and a small lasting bubbly light-brown head. Aroma is big time coffee first and foremost followed by light roasted malt and just a hint of hops -- that’s pretty much it, it’s all coffee all the time. Flavour’s the same: Coffee, coffee, coffee and...some malt way in the back. Roasty bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. If you like coffee then you’ll like this -- and I like coffee.

Cask at C’est What. Deep black pour with a thick tan head. The aroma is quite coffee laden. Moderate coffee roast and a little bit of blackberry chewiness. Light fruit along with some dark licorice type flavour. There is also a lingering bitterness. Dark chocolate and a little bit of vegetal component as well. A touch of light lingering sweetness. Decent balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[4091-20111111] Cask. Roasted coffee ground malt aroma. Black brown body with a quick foamy brown head. Light ginger-infused roast coffee grounds flavour has something hinting at a sour note. Medium-full body. Tasty, repeatable. (7/3/8-/4/16) 3.8

2011-11-11. Black body with a modest tan head. 3+ Dry roasty coffee aroma is nice but very coffee dominant. 7+ Flavour is quite dry, with a lot of roasty coffee character, muted dark malt. Average bodied palate. Some nice coffee overtones, but it the coffee is a bit intense for me. Cask at the brewery
