341 ml bottle from brewery. Pours a very dark brown with a slight orange tinge and modest-sized mocha coloured head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and a hint of cherry. Taste is dark roasted malt with coffee and dark chocolate notes accompanied by a subtle sweet cherry flavour. Lingering coffee/chocolate bitterness in finish. Nice.

Pours deep black with a swirl of dark red mixed in. Lighter tan head, not overly fluffy, but nice lacing. Aromas cherries and chocolate with some nice roastiness. Flavor of cherry and chocolate as expected. Thin mouthfeel.

Thanks to Josh for sharing this bottle. Pours a deep black with a medium creamy tan head that laced. Aroma of you guessed it, cherries and chocolate. Actually a nice tart cherry nose. Also getting some caramel and lightly roasted malt character. Flavor of again the cherry meets chocolate mix. The cherry is kind of a tart pit cherry and the chocolate is kind of dark chocolate. Nicely done.

On tap at Chancey Smith’s in London, Ontario, served in a shaker glass. Pours dark black with a tall, dense, frothy tan head. The head fades very slowly and leaves lots of dense lace. The nose has aromas of dark bitter chocolate, dark malt, slight coffee and a hint of cherry. The flavour is moderately sweet throughout with notes of chocolate and lots of sour cherry. It is full in body with a creamy smooth texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a very nice sweet stout with a nice cherry accent and chocolate background. 2010-10-22

I don’t like fruit beers. But this was exquisite. Not a thick stout really, was more like a porter, but luckily porter is my favorite style. Chocolate and cherry flavours are obvious but well-blended into the malt and hops. This might just be one of the best tasting drinks I’ve ever had.

Appearance - body is a very dark brown/near black, off-white head fades quickly. Aroma - nose is nice and roasty, notable chocolate, creamy candy, ground coffee, bitter fruits. Palate/Flavour - body is full, medium-light, slick to start and tangy towards the end, again quite roasty, prominent coffee, bitter chocolate, tart cherry, cloying finish with bitter cherry and coffee.

Draught. Tasting night with the Brewmaster. Deep cherry coke red with definite chocolate and cherry in the aroma. Taste and body are very thin.. more like a poster then a stout. Very drinkable, but also very sweet. I liked it.. but the balance was off.. too thin and too sweet for me.
