Draught. Tasting night with the Brewmaster. Deep cherry coke red with definite chocolate and cherry in the aroma. Taste and body are very thin.. more like a poster then a stout. Very drinkable, but also very sweet. I liked it.. but the balance was off.. too thin and too sweet for me.

Very dark and thick in colour and head. Rich toasty malts and hints of cherry and chocolate. Sweet malty flavour with a very light cherry and chocolate aftertaste. Quite nice, but not the best stout Iíve had.

On tap at the Winking Judge. For some reason I was expecting the worst from this one but it very pleasantly surprised me. Nice rich roasted malt/chocolate aroma with a hint of cherry. Instead of the medicinal cherry I was expecting, I got a full earthy chocolately stout with a hint of cherry... and good cherry at that. Medium body with a clean finish that leaves just a little cherry and chocolate on the tongue to savour till your next sip. Cheers!

341ml bottle from the brewery. Black pour with a tan head. Some far off roastyness in the aroma, and some up front fruityness. Tastes like an average stout, until you hit the tart finish which must be from the cherries. Very nice beer.

a very solid stout. The chocolate roasted maltiness is the predominant flavour with a hint of cherry in the flavour. I canít say that I detected cherry on the nose. mouthfeel is decent, although if II were being picky I would have liked it a bit smoother, perhaps less carbonation. Overall nice brew

On tap at Volo. Loved it! Tasted more like a porter to me. Fairly thin to medium mouthfeel. Not quite what I expected. Taste is bursting with mild chocolate (if you know what I mean), with the cherry kicking in when you breathe out through the nose. Sweet, a little tart and a clean finish with a light bitterness to follow. Pretty nice brew.

i got a lot of cherries in the nose from the initial pour....much less in the flavor. very subtle underneath a very basic sweet/milk stout flavor. nothing special...but not bad either. a nice easy drinking stout.

On tap at Beer Bistro in Toronto. From memory as I had this a few months ago. I was disappointed with the lack of flavour and body. Faint aroma of chocolate. Black with tan head. Flavour was cherry chocolate but not as intense as I was hoping, not very rich and not much body.

Pours black, small brown head with lots of lacing. Aroma is lots of roasted malt with some coffee and just a small hint of cherry. Taste is similar with some tart sweetness as from the cherries. A little over carbonated, and little un-intense flavourwise, but still quite good.

Pours a lovely brown, with orange hints at the edges. Aroma is pure chocolate, with little cherry aroma evident. Mouthfeel is nice, but could use just a little more body. Flavour is well balanced with cherries in the background. A tough beer to brew, as fruit, esp. cherries are a delicate balancing act. Nicely done.
