Pours a lovely brown, with orange hints at the edges. Aroma is pure chocolate, with little cherry aroma evident. Mouthfeel is nice, but could use just a little more body. Flavour is well balanced with cherries in the background. A tough beer to brew, as fruit, esp. cherries are a delicate balancing act. Nicely done.

On tap at the Toronto Beerlicious fest. Deep black, with a light cherry flavor, medium sweetness, and chocolate. Very mild in flavor for a stout--light bitterness. Nice.

Dark brown in colour with ruby edges, thin but lingering beige coloured head, good lacing. The aroma had some coffee, chocolate and a very light cherry tartness. The flavour is chocolaty, malty with a light roast, mildly bitter, some black forest cake. Lightly sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, mild carbonation. Finishes with some burnt notes and a chocolate sweetness.

This was pretty good. The chocolate was definitely more prominent then the cherries.

Draught at Volo in Toronto, Ontario.
March 22, 2008.
Thanks to decatursteveo for another one! Thin off-white head over a dark black body.Chocolate malt aroma / cocoa powder. The chocolate is well done, the cherry comes in a s sourness in the finish. Thin bodied. O.K.?

On tap at BeerBistro. Near black pour with a large rose head. Smokey scent like dark chocolat. Too Dary and too smokey, not all at sweet. My wife loved it, I really wasn’t impressed. I’m not a big fan of fruit beers though.
