Pours a lovely brown, with orange hints at the edges. Aroma is pure chocolate, with little cherry aroma evident. Mouthfeel is nice, but could use just a little more body. Flavour is well balanced with cherries in the background. A tough beer to brew, as fruit, esp. cherries are a delicate balancing act. Nicely done.

On tap at the Winking Judge. For some reason I was expecting the worst from this one but it very pleasantly surprised me. Nice rich roasted malt/chocolate aroma with a hint of cherry. Instead of the medicinal cherry I was expecting, I got a full earthy chocolately stout with a hint of cherry... and good cherry at that. Medium body with a clean finish that leaves just a little cherry and chocolate on the tongue to savour till your next sip. Cheers!

Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a deep black color stout with a nice foamy head with some average retention and no lacing. Aroma of deep cacao with some very subtle non-sweet cherries. Taste is dominated by deep chocolate notes with some very subtle cherries and some nice bitter roasted malt notes at the end. Body is a bit light for the style with some medium carbonation. Interesting but missing a bit of character to take this to the other level.

12 oz bottle via Homebrew Myst Swap (thanks Rudolf!). A nice black pour with a huge tan head. Nose is chocolate, roasted grains, caramel. Taste starts and ends sweet, with some caramel, cocoa, oats, vanilla, and a little coffee and soy. The cherries are there but a fairly subtle, perhaps a bit too subtle.Hops are not real noticeable. Carbonation is moderately high, body is light.

341 ml bottle. Dark brown with a smooth tan head. Nose is cocoa and coffee with hints of sweet and tart cherry. Creamy body but not overly thick. Thins out rather quickly with fizzy carb. Taste is chocolate and cherry with a dry espresso finish. Simple but works well.

A deep dark stout with a thick creamy moka head. A very pleasant aroma of coffee, chocolate and cherry blossom. In mouth, a nice light roasted coffee with bitter chocolate, light to medium bodied, well balanced. On tap at C’est What, March 21, 2009.

On Tap At C’est What? A deep black pour, nice aroma of roasted malt, and dark chocolate, with a very subtle, but still there, sweet cherry. Flavor is more of a stout, but a well made one. The cherry is there in the aroma, but i can’t really detect it much more anywhere else. All in all though, a nice drinking stout.

Bottle sample thanks to Milos- A deep brown pour with a frothy mocha cap. Nose of fresh cherries and dark chocolate, coffee, some roasted malts. Tastes sweet, of dark chocolate with some anise and pit fruits. FInishes with bitter coffee/chocolate and a pleasing cherry aftertaste. Very good.

Draught: Pours jet black, nice browner-than-average foamy head on top. Aroma is quite roasty, dark chocolate and just a hint of those promised cherries. Great sweet malty chocolate flavour, mild cherries, perhaps a little cinnamon? Very well done, I’d been looking forward to this for a while and loved the opportunity to finally try it.

Pours black, small brown head with lots of lacing. Aroma is lots of roasted malt with some coffee and just a small hint of cherry. Taste is similar with some tart sweetness as from the cherries. A little over carbonated, and little un-intense flavourwise, but still quite good.
