On cask at Bar Hop. Hazy amber, long-lasting thick creamy two finger speckled beige head - gorgeous. Aroma is quite bitter (floral) with plenty of cocoa and cherry - I guess that’s the black currant - smells both fruity sweet and pungently floral; nice. The taste follows - up front big tart fruit with quite a sting of bitterness in the tail, no alcohol. Quite thick, syrupy and sticky but no cloying sweetness thanks to the base beer. Quite good, although my palate detected echoes of the fake cherry medicine I had to drink as a small child, but that’s just my aging brain fucking with me.
