Nicely carbonated (i.e. not too fizzy). The problem for me was that this tasted like someone had dumped a couple tablespoons of lemon Shake n’ Bake into my pint. The lemon pepper flavour was very artificial and I think the MSG in the flavouring gave me a headache. I’d give this another try if it was flavoured with natural ingredients.

Lots of fresh pepper greet the nose, tiny hint of lemon, light yellow, tiny white head. Juicy, wet hops give forth an appreciated bitterness, some malt, while the lemon and pepper are subtle. Light bodied, spicey, nice tongue tingle. Very nice, seems like a saison or a farm house ale. Innovative stuff Adrian! shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Spicy scent of white pepper and citrus. A bit weiss-like in appearance and body, good-looking head on a very pale yellow beer. Thin mouthfeel, but very heady and citrussy (esp. lemongrass). Best of show, IMO. beergut111 (210), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Another great Black Oak beer......although im not sure I could drink more than one pint. My only complaint is the pepper could have been toned down a touch. jerc (3911), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2007 Draft at C’est What. Golden yellow body with a small white head. Ɠ+) Muted aroma, light notes of lemon and pepper. Hops are overshadowed. Similar flavour, with pepper that shows up in the back of the throat and aftertaste. Lemon blends with a light fruity/yeasty character. Ɩ+) Average palate. Quite pleasant, this is a nice change of pace that mellows and blends better as the glass goes on. Clear golden brew, long lasting creamy top.
Fresh, oriental lemon like aroma. Green tea with herbs. Good refreshing nose.
Clean, straight ale . More of aroma theme, citric green tea. Gentle, herbal and drinkable. I might one more .

Fresh, lemony soap aroma - also some oranges and tangerines along with biscuit malts. Very palatable, soft & creamy. Somewhat bitter up front, but tastefully so, and noticeably leafy in the middle with biscuity crisp malts. Only moderately peppery in the finish. Very drinkable.
