Commercial Description:
This is a darker offering from Black Oak. Rich smooth taste, slightly roasty and chocolaty. It's a bit less hopped, but still has a fantastic balance with the malt.

Bottle- Deep amber/brown pour with a half finger beige froth. Brown sugar, caramel and nutty aroma with a bit of milk chocolate and metallic nuances. Sweet nutty and slightly roasted malts with good bittering hops and a slight metallic twang towards the finish. Sweet lingering aftertaste. Nice.

341 ml bottle. pours brown with a small white head and little carbonation. nice roasty aromas, roasted barley, cchocolate and a tiny smokiness. flavours are similar with hops providing a bitterish finish. very drinkable and could very easily be a good session brown ale. the best brown ale ive had.

0.34 l bottle. Mahagony color. Malty and caramelly aroma with fruity esters. Sweetish, malty, nutty and caramelly flavor with notes of toffee.

341ml bottle, 5% a/v Pours a deep cola brown, with a generous light tan head. Smells lightly of nuts and chocolate, not much of an aroma present, likely because of the head. Tastes of nuts and chocolate, into a very nice fruity/nutty finish which is fairly dry. Mouthfeel is adequate but not great, a bit thin.

Bright mahogany color. Some nutty aroma. Light mouthfeel, dry, with some caramel and hazelnut flavor, dry finish too. Not my style.

Bottle from the LCBO. Rich, nutty brown colour, with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel and hazelnut...smells delicious. Flavour is nicely nutty, with chocolate and grapefruit bitterness coming through. Smooth and clean on the palate. Overall, a fantastic beer.

A fantastic brown ale. Pours deep brown with a light aroma of cocoa and hazlenut. The palate shows the toasted nuts and a decent amount of hop finish.
