3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2015 Really a great brewing accomplishment. Mild chocolate and coffee of the nose. A brown opaque body with a light white head. This is a really tasty, balance and smooth brown ale. The taste profile features slightly roasted malt, nuts, a slight creaminess, a touch of lush dark fruit, some woodiness and a hint of vanilla. Really light on the hops, but it really works well. Fresh tastes perfectly blended.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear, brown color and a small, brownish head. Aroma of malts, wood, nuts, bread, flour, and a delicate hint of fruits. Taste is also malty, warming, nutty. Medium body, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish comes with a slight hoppy touch which gives it a bit less sticky character.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the Rex in Toronto. Mahogany brownish with a small off-white head. Both aroma and flavour pleasantly nutty (toasted nuts), sweetish, with quite some leafy, herbal finishing bitterness. Pretty crisp in the mouth, body around medium. Subtle notes of fresh ground coffee. Enjoyable impression.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: clear amber-brown with one finger of rocky light tan head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Aroma: nutty, mild chocolate and coffee, caramel, grassy, pine. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter, light tart. (7/10) Palate: medium body, lively carbonation, off-dry medium duration slightly tart finish. (4/5)
Not bad at all for a nut brown. Not a style I tend to prefer, but this one is nicely balanced, with a little bit of grassy and piney hops, and even a little tartness. Slightly more complex than your typical nut brown. (15/20)

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2015 A filtered, cherrywood brown body is capped by a moderate slightly off-white head.
Aromas of nuts, lightly roasted malts, mild chocolate.
Medium palate. Tastes of light nuttiness, creamy milk chocolate, and a hoppy, ever-so-slightly bitter finish.
Don’t see myself ever reaching out to grab one of these again, but as a one-shot experience, it was a fairly enjoyable brew.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650 ml bottle from the LCBO.
Appearance: Pours an opaque dark brown with a thin white head.
Aroma: Brown sugar, caramel, malt, hints of pine resin, walnuts.
Flavours: Coco, milk chocolate, toasted malt, brown sugar, bit of a bitter hop like finish.
Mouthfeel: Thin with moderate carbonation.
Overall: A nice very sweet brown ale. I love sweet beers so I had no problem with this one but it may be a bit a sweet for others. All of the components came together nicely.
