Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 4, 2008 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts and malt, while the flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and nuts. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 22, 2007 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Nut brown. Orangey nose. Sweet and medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Light roasty malt with some careful orangey hops over. Low bitterness. Not thatmuch going on here. Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 13, 2001 I used to say that this beer had potential if they would get the malt extracted properly. Well, Ken from the brewery told me to try it again. Yup, they’ve got it right now. There is a lot more chocolate and toasted malt flavour now. A subtle nuttiness as well, and it really plays off the hops well (previously I felt it was overhopped). The finish is dry, almost smokey, and with good length. Well worth a pint or two. oh6gdx (6339), Vaasa, Finland Sep 29, 2007 Bottled@SBWF2007. Deep brownish amber colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is caramel, earth, malts and some slight metal. Flavour is the same without the metal, with some slight chocolate notes. Some slight hoppyness in finish. argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Jul 22, 2002 Caramel and toasty aroma and flavor. More hops than you’d expect. Good overall beer, eminently drinkable.
