Pours a clear dark copper with an average size creamy off-white head. Really mild aroma of roasted malt with a touch of hops -- it’s hard to tell really as there’s not much aroma there. The sweet flavour is also mild and has nuts, some roasty malt, caramel and light hops. Medium bodied. It’s O.K. but I expect better from Black Oak, I was slightly dissapointed. Poured a clear iced tea brown with a short cap of white head. Nose was very sweet and very nutty with some oaky spiciness going on. The flavor picked up lightly-roasted chocolate and hazlenut... oaky and earthy bitterness... and faint berries. Roasty chocolate and nutty finish with mild herbal bitterness. Very nice brew! Thanks, Harry! Chugalug (29), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
