Commercial Description:
This is a darker offering from Black Oak. Rich smooth taste, slightly roasty and chocolaty. It's a bit less hopped, but still has a fantastic balance with the malt.

Draught at The Victory Café. Pours a clear dark copper with an average size creamy off-white head. Really mild aroma of roasted malt with a touch of hops -- it’s hard to tell really as there’s not much aroma there. The sweet flavour is also mild and has nuts, some roasty malt, caramel and light hops. Medium bodied. It’s O.K. but I expect better from Black Oak, I was slightly dissapointed.

Thanks to HogTownHarry for the bottle! Poured a clear iced tea brown with a short cap of white head. Nose was very sweet and very nutty with some oaky spiciness going on. The flavor picked up lightly-roasted chocolate and hazlenut... oaky and earthy bitterness... and faint berries. Roasty chocolate and nutty finish with mild herbal bitterness. Very nice brew! Thanks, Harry!

Roasty-toasty goodness. Lovely amber colour--great full taste. A good break from my usual love--pilsners.

341 mL bottle. Dark chestnut brown with a thin but sticky head. Mild aroma of chocolate , a bit of spicy hops. Taste is medium to full, with light roast, caramel, a bit of nuttiness. Not much by way of hops. Clean and very drinkable.

341ml bottle. Faint roasty aroma. Dark amber brown with large foamy beige head that thins to a fine line. Disappointing lack of taste. Faint hint of malted hazel with a dry aftertaste.

Bottle. Average size, light brown fizzy head. Slight carbonation and reddish brown. Moderate maly aroma with hints of toast and caramel. Medium-light body with a slightly sweet and moderately bitter taste. There are hints of espresso and toast as well.
