[4095-20111111] Tap. Chocolate Tootsie Roll roast malt aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy mocha head. Chocolate malt and Tootsie Roll flavour is quite strong and roasty. Full body. Tasty. (8/4/7/3/15+) 3.7

Cask at Volo. Nov. 11, 2011. Pours a very dark brown with a small long-lasting fizzy tan head. Very nice chocolaety aroma along with roasted malt. Flavour of lightly roasted malt, lots of chocolate and some fruit. Medium bodied. Quite nice, I enjoyed it.

On cask at Volo. Pours a near black dark brown with fairly large tan head. Aroma is very roasty dark chocolate which dominates anything else. Flavour is semi-sweet semi roasty chocolate. Rich, luxurious mouthfeel. Quite nice.

On cask at C’est What in Toronto, served in an English pint. Pours dark chestnut with a moderate tan head that fades slowly to a thin cover. On the nose, there is a big chocolate presence, along with toasted malts, some earth, herbal hops and a hint of licorice. The flavour is moderately sweet throughout with dark chocolate, roasted malts, earthy notes, licorice and a touch of molasses. A hint of herbal hoppy bitterness enters in the middle and persists to the end. The finish is long and roasty with chocolate notes. On the palate, it is full in body with a smooth, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a great chocolate porter. The body is silky smooth and the chocolate is just right. Very well done. 2011-11-15

2011-11-11.Black body, frothy tan head. 4+ Flavour has a pleasant dry cocoa character throughout, light fruity touches, dry finish light lingering fruit and herbal hints. 7+ Aroma is similar, cocoa, dry malt. Light fruit with a twist of something. 7+ Average plus bodied palate is pretty solid for a cask. Enjoyable. Cask at Volo, Toronto
