crushinat0r (225), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 23, 2007 Dark and black. Thick dissipating head with lacing. Solid body. Coffee scent and malts, sweet cinnamon. Tastes of smooth malts with a hint of cinnamon and a nice sweet malty finish. Really nice, especially for this brewery - this is my favourite of all their offerings.
gilvanblight (322), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Jul 20, 2008 Black pour with a tan head. Deep smokey scent like smoked meat, reminded me a bit of a deli. Tick rich taste, a bit too much taste actually, somewhat overpowering. vanrassel (23), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jun 26, 2008 Pleasant aroma of roasty malt, cherries, licorice, plums and tobacco. Classic porter taste with dark malts that never tipped over into bitterness. Cinnamon became briefly apparent in the middle before a nice dry finish took things back to a more traditional flavour. A nice beer, but I’d enjoy it more as a straightforward porter without the cinnamon addition. Kevin (1765), Colorado, USA May 14, 2008 what a fucking day. time for beer food and movie. brown black with a thick light tan head. light chocolate, cherry, and something like nutmeg. milky cocoa with a light spice like cinnamon. light mouthfeel & dry finish that brings out a coffee flavor. hints of nuts mix w/the chocolate, and the cinnamon blends well too. thanks paul.
