Commercial Description:
This is our flagship beer. Medium body, beautiful golden colour, good mouth feel and a refreshing hop finish. We use six selected malts and five different kinds of premium hops. This recipe is secret, but the Pale Ale is very tasty and hoppy.

Pours deep gold with a quick disipating off white head. Medium grass hop, fruit toasted aroma. Nicely bitter but not as hoppy as some of the better examples of the style. Toffee, some sweet earthy pine flavours with good balance. Crisp bitter finish.

Nice golden color with fine white head. Nice peach hop aroma, with light pine. Medium to light mouthfeel with short finish. Light flavors of hops, and a faint nuttiness. Not bad session beer!

Sampled from keg at Phog Lounge, Windsor Ontario. Poured golden and clear, thin clingy head. Hoppy aroma, firm maltiness with abundant bitterness throughout. The best Canadian Pale Ale I've come across.

On Cask @ the TO beer festival. This was the TO hop bomb version and iwas gooood. Hazy yellow colour with no head. The mouthfeel was lively even w/o carbonation. Great aroma and taste of white grapefruit and pine.

Pale with floral citrus aroma, very well hopped grapefruity with good bitterness. Malt sweetness ameliorating bitterness Thanks for the fresh samples right off the line, Jercraigs.

Cask at the Toronto Beer Festival 2004. So this was a special beer, they added lots more hops to it and it shows! It wasn’t overkill though, as it was quite well balanced with some nice malts. A solid APA from the solid Black Oak Brewery.

Citrusy-sweet and hoppy nose on this golden and copper beer. Lots of carbonation and bitterness. Definite hints or orange. It’s very much above average without being exceptional or unique.

Decent hop nose. Light copper with white head that recedes to cover. Carbonation looks good. Some lace. Bitterness balances nicely with fresh malt flavour. Citrus-lemon undertones. Body is medium. Slightly syruppy. Could perhaps use higher carbonation. Simple, clean and well-brewed, this is an enjoyable, straight ahead version of a pale ale though by it’s well-balanced restraint, it seems more like an English Pale Ale regardless of American ingredients. Bottle. Thanks jercraigs.
