3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Maltybones (62) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 5, 2008
Bottles. Pours a golden orange, with medium-to-low carboantion and very little head. Aroma is dominated by pine and grapefuit, but with notes of cotton candy and grain. Quite nice. Flavour is a little two dimentional, with only bready sweetness and a lingering bitterness present, but well balanced. Medium bodied. Would make a nice session beer.

Bottle thanks to matt7215. Pours a clear golden hue with a good sized white head. The aroma is pure wheat, honey and a touch or caramel, like a nice breakfast. The taste is very sweet; mostly honey and some caramel, a touch of hops, and grain. Very nice. Easy to drink and enjoyable.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 chicagodri (1605) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 6, 2008
Bottle trade from Jerc. Pours a clear gold with a thinner white head. Mild sweeter aroma. Crisp and relatively refreshing, and a little bit of bitterness. Not bad, but not amazing either.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Blasphemies (45) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 6, 2008
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2008 cask draught. A little disappointed with this as a cask offering. I’ve had the regular draught and bottle, might add them to this score in the future.
Kind of amber in colour. Slight bit of bitter fruity aroma. Taste was a mild hop with as light surprising fruit taste. Drinkable for sure.
(regular draft is slightly better)
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SuzyGreenberg (1578) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 10, 2008
12 oz. bottle - thanks to matt7215 for this bottle; clear and dark gold; white head with minor lacing; crisp, bitter and sweet aromas; soapy and bitter fruits; sharp finish and bold for a pale ale; aroma is there and so is the flavor; a terrific APA
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 JesseM (918) - Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 15, 2008
UPDATED: APR 21, 2009 341ml bottle shared with Matt7215, RyanMac13, and Beerguyryan. Pours a slightly more amber colour than I was expecting, with an aroma dominated by nice hops. Taste is a little two-dimensional, moderate hops with so-so malt backbone, and a slightly unpleasant nuttiness in the aftertaste. Not bad, but not my favourite APA by far. EDIT: Having this again in the proper circumstances has shown me it is far better than I first believed. Very nice cereal grain flavour with a nice dry hop assertive quality. Great malt body to balance it out, a real OCB gem.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 rob6239 (159) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 1, 2008
Tried this on tap at the 2008 Pepperwood Bistro Beer Festival. Good plain pale ale but nothing much different about it.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Miksu (3887) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 1, 2008
0.34 l bottle. Golden copper color. Malty aroma with a bit dull and grassy notes of dry hops. Very mellow malty and caramelly flavor with medium bitterness and restrained lemony-fruity hoppiness.
