From notes Ė at the Brewery. One off cask, pours a very cloudy reddish amber, with a small foamy head. Aroma is roasted malts, herbal, toffee and spices. Flavour is sweet malts, slight bitter, and intense, but not overpowering peppers.

November 11, 2011 - gravity cask at the brewery. Murky reddish-brown with a small fizzy/creamy tan head. Aroma is a standard nutbrown (nutty roast, light herbal bitterness, background toffeeish sweet malt) but with some earthy spiciness. Taste is even sweeter - nutty, some alcohol presence and then bam! - increasing chili pepper heat, gets pretty intense - slightly > jalapeno heat, and it grabs the palate and does not let go. It has average body, lick-a-battery tingling acidity, quite gritty in the finish - I liked it a lot. Many others were realy whining about the heat.

Cask at the brewery. Nov. 11, 2011. Pours a murky dark brown with a small diminishing fizzy off-white head. Slightly odd but nice aroma, with some spices, chocolate, malt and nuts -- kind of like a spicy chocolate and milder then I expected. Very spicy flavour (which I love) that just gets spicier and spicier with every sip as it builds on your palate. Along with all of those spices thereís some cocoa and malt. Bitter spicy finish. Average to medium bodied. Not for everyone but I really enjoyed it.

[4093-20111111] Cask. Light Tootsie Roll sweet malt aroma. Hazy, dark brown body with quick foamy off-white head. Chocolate flavour initially follows quickly with hot and spicy hot peppers. Medium-full body is all heat after about two seconds. Love how it waits to kick you in the teeth with spice. (7/3/6/2/14) 3.2

2011-11-11. Murky brown body with a small tan head. Pea soup, smoke, spice, and notes of chocolate 6+ Very spicy burny flavour, hot peppers, whispers of chocolate if you look hard. Average bodied palate. Interesting experiment, but this one kicked my ass! Curious to know what those with stronger palates thought of it. Jeebus! Cask at the brewery
