mephisto (1144), Taiwan Jul 10, 2007 draft at bow and arrow. opaque orange with thin white head, it has yeasty aroma with a hint of orange. the flavor is typical of saison (vide orval), but it is quite sweet and has a stronger aftertaste of orange peel. crushinat0r (227), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 23, 2007 Fruity and spicy, coriander, light, amber. Funky taste. Pretty poor for a saison. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Mar 29, 2007 Cloudy gold/orange. Aroma is spices, yeast, and citrus. Flavor is spices, citrus, and some honey. Body is on the light side. A bit more alcohol would help this. Thanks to HogTownHarry for this bottle. shp555 (1680), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Mar 4, 2007 Pours a light orange color with a white head. Aroma is of corriander, spices, and citus. Flavor is corriander, spices and bitter orange peel. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 1, 2007 [081-20061031] 341mL. Hoppy wheat and orange aroma. Cloudy, light brown-amber body with lots of bubbles throughout. Tastes like wheaty leaves, and something that must be coriander. Light-medium body, complex, astringent mouthfeel that’s not unpleasant. Reminiscent of Denison’s with an orange kick. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jan 26, 2007 on tap at the black oak tent, toronto beerfest
cloudy orange color. lots of citrus, very refrseshing, little bit tart, very nice effort. great stuff tomthompson89 (1460), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 25, 2007 had at Toronto beer fest, was lucky enough to have a good flow of it from ken, nice white head some carbonation, sour acidic nose but nice citrus refreshing tastes, good summer beer JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Jan 21, 2007 Ochre to pale amber beer with a small, bigger-bubbled white head. First pineapple, some bleak farmyard odours, faintly spicey (coriander, gingerpowder?), and then, unmistakably, diacetyl and celeri taking over. More diacetyl - and more faults in the mouth, leading to a fiery, aggressive MF, despite a rather light body and buttery slickness, with flavours of stale cookies, burnt sesame oil and the inevitable coriander. Oops. Very seasonal, I should hope.
