3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (5174) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUL 4, 2012Bottle. Number XI. Pours a muddled burnt orange. Smells a little old, the hops have dulled but leave behind orange and peach esters. The palate bequeaths alcohol and chewiness. The flavors begin fruity and finish bitter and slightly sour as in citrus pith and rind together. Not in its peak form, but obviously a well-made beer.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Alpha10 (114) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 18, 2013
2013/06/18 - Pours a clear dark copper color with a thick, foamy, off white head that lingers and laces nicely. Aroma is grapefruit/citrus, piney hops and slight caramel. Taste is pine resin and caramel upfront with a bitter, hoppy and tart citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel is
medium with medium carbonation and an astringent finish. High alcohol goes undetected in this well executed DIPA, however a slightly higher malt profile would have balanced the beer a little better.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 JamesChamp (112) - Canada, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 15, 2013
Purchased at LCBO in a 650ml nice new bottle. The beer was much better then I thought it would be. I was just thinking it might be a ok Imperial IPA, but it was much better then just ok. Very good beer with a lot of taste but not to the point where it is over powering and not enjoyable, it is actually very enjoyable. I could drink some more of this one!!
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 yarry (502) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 12, 2013
650 ml bottle, 8% a/v
Pours a rich coppery/gold color with a nice tan head. Aromas of grapefruit, grass and resin hops, some caramel malt as well. Taste is also rather hoppy, particularly the aftertaste but not at all unbalanced. You cannot taste that this is an 8% beer at all as it is mellow and balanced to perfection! The palate is rich and smooth, with just enough carbonation.
Very good job black oak. Heres to another 10 bitter years!
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 hangunder (107) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 9, 2013
Citrus, pine, biscuity and toasty malts in the aroma. The malt plays a big role in giving this one it’s aroma, smells delicious. Dark copper color, semi-long lasting fizzy head. Earthy, piney hops come through upfront, with a hint of juicyness and a herbal/sweet finish. A bit of bitterness lingers on the tongue, but is definately not overpowering. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. This one is delicious & very unique. Would buy many times again.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 tkrjukoff (3393) - SWEDEN - JUN 8, 2013
Draft @ BarVolo. Pours clear deep amber with a great foamy lacing head. Aroma is clean hoppy fruity piny citric. Flavor is hoppy hoppy citric grapefruit resiny dry piny, just as I like my DIPA. Spot on.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Freaky_tiki (84) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2013
My my what do we have here? Pours caramel with a fluffy soda fountain cap that holds tight. Taste is layered: I get brisk hops, Caribbean rum & toffee on the tongue. I’ve got more questions than answers with this beer (which is exactly how I like it).
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 gilvanblight (686) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 9, 2013
Slightly hazy orange golden pour. Clingy head. Grassy sweet hoppy scent. Yep tastes like a good IPA. has that really overpowering hops taste. This one doesn’t leave you feeling dry at the end though. Not bad for a beer in a style I don’t really like.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 neuromatt (858) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2013
341 mL bottle served in a stem glass at a tasting at Dan’s. Pours clear golden with a small, off-white head that fades to a thin cover and leaves a minimal amount of lace. On the nose, there are notes of resinous hops and spice, along with biscuity malts and a touch of earth. The flavour is medium dry with biscuity malts and fairly intense bitter hops. The finish is long and intensely bitter. On the palate, it is medium in body with a dryish texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent double IPA, but it felt like it was missing something. The hops are a little too dominant and too resinous; it might improve with just a little more assertiveness from the malts. 2012-08-11
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 AGAquino (654) - San Juan, PUERTO RICO - NOV 18, 2012
From notes. On cask. Pours slightly cloudy orange with a nice foamy off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, pine and floral bitters; some alcohol as well. Flavour is very bitter; noticeable citrus, tangerines and resin, with a sweet malt backbone. Nice cask mouthfeel, slightly astringent, strong alcohol, but quite balanced.

Amber Gold with a Little fluffy white head. Nose of pine, citrus, and peach. Opens up sweet and with resiny hops. Tea, toasted bready malts, good balance. Finish is clean. Very solid IIPA.
