Thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle. Yellow with a white head. Aroma is citrus, yeast and biscuit malt. Flavor is heavy on the citrus, with some iced team notes also coming through. There is also a hint of pine as well as some grassiness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

22. Whether it’s pour or package seems to be a crucial distinction with this beer. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with decent carb and some loose sudsy whitish head. Drippy lace. Bright and appealing orange rind nose, but nowhere near the intensity you might expected from a celebrated fresh dipa. Bottle shock? Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel, doughy mid-palate with some resiny hop bite on top of that. Kind of another well-made big hoppy ale in this format.

Tasty beer, for sure, but it wasn’t what I expected. I expected lots of CITRUS, but I only detected a little, mainly in the finish (blended with the bitterness). I did, however, get a big blast of perfume, rose petals and plant stems. Malts were bready, cracker-like and complementing enough. But the citrus characteristics were not as bold as they’re made out to be, especially with a name like Citrus IPA. Regardless, it’s a solid beer.

14th rating of this beer. Oh great, its my 5000th rate. Who fucking cares? Fuck this hobby and fuck all the idiots that are making it not fun anymore. I love drinking beer and have traded and met some great people. I would like to give a shout out and big thanks to bvc, suzygreenberg, scrivvv, after4ever, bitbucket, mj, ibrew2or3, douglas88, hopdog, brewdad, and a whole bunch of other awesome people that have helped me achieve this useless milestone. People like this are why this is a fun hobby. On the other hand, i would like to take this time to tell all of you idiots that are hoarding beer, holding beer for ransom, buying up all the shit at the store and looking at it or waving it in your face like you have a huge giant dong, nobody cares that you have a big beer collection, overpricing beer that you put fucking brown sugar or honey in like it is a god damn expensive ingredient. You all know who you are. Instead of hoarding beer of price gouging, join a club or a sports team or something. Fuck off. And beer advocate, or ba’s or whatever the fuck you are called, you have ruined the trade forum. Thanks. Appreciate it. Oh yeah, fuck your rare beer too. I’ve got some comic books, baseball cards, and the original bat mobile to stack on top of all my rare beer. I win the competition. At least some of that shit is actually worth money, not some arbitrary price because all of you dipshits want it to fulfill some missing piece in your life. Find a woman to bang or something. Anyways, this beer smells like citrus, nice rye notes, orange peel, a little dank, citrus again, light grain. Nice nose. Pours golden, a little haze, nice head and lace. Flavors of big citrus peel, pith, rye malt, a little grain. More oranges and lemons in the finish. Bright and juicy. Lingering citrus mouth feel. A really nice drinkability level. And rare. I fucking retire. "beer smells like beer, beer tastes like malt, rare, and sour. Some hops. Meh" (Jon, 2006). # rater of a certain beer on the whole god damn internet. I love computers. Yay.

Tap at Fiddlers.

Light-colored pour, lovely piney nose with something close to peach. Tangerine and pine hops; crisp, easily drinkable IPA that hits the bullseye on this July afternoon.

Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, caramel, pine, orange, and a touch of lemon peel. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a three finger yellow-tinged white head with good retention. It leaves behind some very nice webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with oranges, caramel, and light tropical fruit. The finish has equal parts grapefruit and pine mixed with some light rye and a touch of lemon. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.

Bottle:   Bit of a fiery golden, very clear, little carbonation, large foamy white head, nice lacing.   Spicy hop nose, subtle peppercorn and what seems like rye, and a touch of caraway and cardamom (sp?).   Very smooth on the tongue, bitter yet mildly sweet, with a candied citrus like background, a bit pithy.   Did I mention smooth?   A bit of the aformentioned spices, peppercorn and some rye.   This is really clean and crisp.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Lovely crisp finish.   Did I mention crisp?   One of the cleaner and crisper type IPAs I have had in a while.   A bit dry too, leaves me a bit quenched and wanting more.   Great stuff!

Sample at Capones. Pure caramel, and pineapple pina colada. Juicy vanilla notes, and citrus flavors. Nice dry bitter finish. Amazing IPA. Wish I could have had a full glass and slowly enjoyed this.
