3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasty beer, for sure, but it wasn’t what I expected. I expected lots of CITRUS, but I only detected a little, mainly in the finish (blended with the bitterness). I did, however, get a big blast of perfume, rose petals and plant stems. Malts were bready, cracker-like and complementing enough. But the citrus characteristics were not as bold as they’re made out to be, especially with a name like Citrus IPA. Regardless, it’s a solid beer.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, lemon zest and black pepper. Bitter flavour, lemon zest, hops, quite spicy. Bitter finish, lingering hops. Nice!

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice looking amber with half inch of rocky head. Appearance score reduced by some floaty bits. Aroma is strongly fruity, citrus. Lemon, orange. Smells like those hard candies covered in icing sugar that come in those metal tins. Taste gives a lot more of the malt - a sweet caramel/biscuit. Comes across as really fruity, even juicy. The real fruit addition obviously ramps up the citrus, but it does so at the expense of the...beer part of it. And there’s some unfortunate butterscotch. Refreshing though

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Whole Foods
Cloudy golden color with a lot of floaties; small head. Strange aroma: lemon, soap, rosemary, heather. The mouthfeel is rather dry; no notable malt flavor; strong bitterness; but it has a soapy character, and herbs, and some citrus peel.
Weird, hardly pleasant.

Bomber From KatHouse, Thanks Brother!. Poured into pint glass. pours a light hazy orang leaving a thin white lacing on glass. Aroma is kinda strange, thinking it’s the black lemon and peel ? Taste is peppery. different in a good way though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is blasted with lemon and orange. Color, aroma, and taste all display the heavy hand of citrus hops and added juicy fruit rinds. Good beer.

As of late I can not find the time to take tasting notes of each beer I sample. I would like to track and record my thoughts of each so I will just use the simple scoring rubric until more time is available.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to my summer secret santa. Pours a hazy light golden-orange color with a small foamy head that fades very slowly and leaves a little lacing. Really interesting aroma of citrus peels with lavender, herbs, mouthwash, and pot. It’s more unique than I can describe really. Tastes fairly complex too. Light citrus-y sweetness with a moderate bitterness. Bitter citrus peels mix pretty well with the lavender, herbs, and dank pot/flowers. Light spiciness and some mint in the finish. Great effort on this IPA to make something pretty unique in a very flooded style. I could see some people loving this.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a moderate white head on it. Nose is amazing. Has some pine citrus and resin elements to it and makes it really inviting. Taste is lightly bitter and super fresh. Great beer. I love it.

Very herbal, some lavender, and Vicks. Very dental spearmint. Very interesting nose. Smooth, mild bitter hops and leaf. Some Seville orange rind. Good.
