3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: 22oz bottle obtained through Tavour
Appearance: Darker brown with black hints. Half an inch head of tan foam.
Nose: Deeply roasted malt with notes of chocolate. Mild coffee bitterness. Very faint coconut on the nose.
Taste: Mostly medium bittersweet cocoa with hints of coffee. Coconut noticeably absent. Decent enough porter.
Body: Medium to thicker. Creamy. Thick for a porter.
Parting thoughts: The advertised coconut is conspicuously absent. Also a bit odd for a porter. Other than that, a very enjoyable beer.

For porter lovers, this beer miserably fails. Coconut too subtle. Not full-bodied. Not a bang for the buck

Good, but I was expecting more/better. Way too much carbonation for a porter. And the coconut is too laid back.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On cask at Washington Brewers Cask Festival, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted malt, earthy nuts, and light coconut. Flavour is not too prominent on the coconut - it’s still a brown ale at its core, with toasted nuts and earthy bready malt. Well-balanced and nice subtle incorporation of the coconut. Nice stuff.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A decent coconut porter. Pours a deep red-brown with a soapy tan head. Smells of coconut and milk chocolate. Taste starts out with coconut and fluffy marshmallow, then brings in the dark malts and cocoa. A bit one note, but tasty. Had in the bottle.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clean brown color that has clarity. Aroma of brown malt with a slight coconut smell. Taste is clean, with a well balanced brown malt, chocolate, coconut flavor. Very easy drinking and the alcohol content is well balanced and hidden. A slight coconut aftertaste, but a wonderful beer.
