3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On cask at Washington Brewers Cask Festival, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted malt, earthy nuts, and light coconut. Flavour is not too prominent on the coconut - itís still a brown ale at its core, with toasted nuts and earthy bready malt. Well-balanced and nice subtle incorporation of the coconut. Nice stuff.

A decent coconut porter. Pours a deep red-brown with a soapy tan head. Smells of coconut and milk chocolate. Taste starts out with coconut and fluffy marshmallow, then brings in the dark malts and cocoa. A bit one note, but tasty. Had in the bottle.

Pours a clean brown color that has clarity. Aroma of brown malt with a slight coconut smell. Taste is clean, with a well balanced brown malt, chocolate, coconut flavor. Very easy drinking and the alcohol content is well balanced and hidden. A slight coconut aftertaste, but a wonderful beer.

Draft pour at Frankies pizza. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a nice nutty, chocolate aroma. Flavor is hints of cocoa, milk chocolate, and nutty malt. Not nearly as much coconut as expected. Overall a nice porter. Very enjoyable.

22. Pours a near-opaque black with a dense and creamy tan head. Lots of light lace. Big chocolatey nose, a little coffee, very sweet and creamy. Not getting a ton of coconut, but thatís alright. Creamy medium body, amazingly burly for the ABV, very soft carb. Sweet dark milk chocolate and some light coffee notes on the mid palate, still not getting a ton of coconut but that might just be me. Long sweet dark milk chocolate finish.

LImited release bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours very dark brown with a foamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate and dark malt. Flavor is something that seems to be coconut with chocolate and dark malt. Making me think of a Mounds bar. Fairly dry. Not very bitter. Decent drink.

Have enjoyed on tap at the brewery & in 22 oz bottles. This pours dark brown with some transparency. A bubbly tan head sits on top. Beautiful coconut aromatics. Rich coconut flavors with some roasted components backing it up. The richness is not supported by the mouthfeel. This is very thin, which partnered with the high carbonation creates an angular character rather than a creamy porter.
