3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
LImited release bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours very dark brown with a foamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate and dark malt. Flavor is something that seems to be coconut with chocolate and dark malt. Making me think of a Mounds bar. Fairly dry. Not very bitter. Decent drink.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Have enjoyed on tap at the brewery & in 22 oz bottles. This pours dark brown with some transparency. A bubbly tan head sits on top. Beautiful coconut aromatics. Rich coconut flavors with some roasted components backing it up. The richness is not supported by the mouthfeel. This is very thin, which partnered with the high carbonation creates an angular character rather than a creamy porter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - thanks to Greg for picking this up for me. Pours clear light brown with khaki head, good lacing. Aroma: caramel is the first thing I get; along with some bread, a bit of toasted coconut. Taste: moderately sweet, lightly bitter finish. Coconut more in the aftertaste. Light body, a shade on the thin side, creamy texture. A lot of toasted coconut in the finish. Overall: this works alright. The coconut presence is better integrated than most coconut beers Iíve had.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Very dark, nearly black, thin to moderate pale sandy head, spotty lacing.   Pale coconut and roasted malts on the nose.   Not as strong in the coconut as I was expecting.   Again, pale coconut and roasty
notes on the tongue.   Not a very robust example.   Tiz clean, body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Seems to have a bit more lingering coconut flavor on the exit.   Lingering toasted coconut after the finish.   Simplier
and not as hefty as I was hoping.   Decent, but not worth the $9 price tag.

on tap at brewery. Pours dark brown with beige head and nice lacing. Smells a bit of chcolate and roasted coconut. Med carb and mouthfeel. This one lives up to its name and tastes a lot like roasted coconut. Also a bkt of toffee and brown sugar. Damn good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From 22-oz bomber via trade with bvc, pours an opaque dark brown colored porter with an average sized tan head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring and some spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted dark malts, some chocolate malt, and a hint of roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, soft carbonation with flavors of chocolate malt, a hint of yeast and some light vanilla. Finish is semi dry, with a toasted dark malt and mild leather aftertaste. Coconut presence was very light if any. A solid porter thatíll compliment any bacon cheeseburger.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bomber graciously sent to me by bvc. The pour is black brown, with nice ruby highlights. The two inch tan heads builds up with nice settling - pretty in the glass. The aroma is lightly toasted, roasted malt along with a sweetness, and a husky nutty character. The taste is the nose, starts with the toasting malt character, shows a brief cane sugar, then moves into the husky, nutty aspects of the coconut. The finish is roast, along with residual coconut. The palate is medium to full bodied, pretty full carbonation, and the clean roasty finish. Nicely quaff-able beer, coconut added nice complexity to a solid base porter. Thanks Brandon, fun beer.
