on tap at brewery. Pours dark brown with beige head and nice lacing. Smells a bit of chcolate and roasted coconut. Med carb and mouthfeel. This one lives up to its name and tastes a lot like roasted coconut. Also a bkt of toffee and brown sugar. Damn good.

Draft pour at brewery into a 6oz taster, alongside the coffee Jones, almost black pour amber hint. Aroma is mostly of coconut. Flavor is chocolate, coffee and coconut finish, not overwhelming so not to bad, well balance of flavors.

Shared bomber poured to snifters showing a black/brown hue, with a modest layer of tan head foam, and light spots of lacing. The nose was lightly roasted, earthy, & nutty, with cocoa, subtle coffee, and a hint of toasted coconut that nearly escaped detection behind the other notes, Less than medium bodied, with average carbonation, the taste followed similarly with diminished expression, and texture that was rather thin.

Bottle from PCC in Columbia City (Seattle), WA. Aroma is roasted malts, some chocolate. Taste is the same...not getting much coconut at all and not much depth here. Disappointing.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2016 Pours dark brown with modest beige head. Smells of molasses, chocolate, and just the faintest hint of coconut. Taste is chocolate, coffee, and a subtle taste of coconut. Mouthfeel is very creamy without a lot of noticeable carbonation. Easily drinkable but there isn?t a lot of depth.

A really nice porter. Coconut in the aroma and accentuates the lingering sweetness. Tried in Seattle in 2016.

Bomber. Pours brown with no head. Aroma of nuts and coconut. Very nutty flavor, more of a brown ale than a porter but the milky coconut plays well with the base beer.

Dark caramel, not roasty, a bit sweet, with some chocolate, bready. Pleasant.

Location: 22oz bottle obtained through Tavour Appearance: Darker brown with black hints. Half an inch head of tan foam. Nose: Deeply roasted malt with notes of chocolate. Mild coffee bitterness. Very faint coconut on the nose. Taste: Mostly medium bittersweet cocoa with hints of coffee. Coconut noticeably absent. Decent enough porter. Body: Medium to thicker. Creamy. Thick for a porter. Parting thoughts: The advertised coconut is conspicuously absent. Also a bit odd for a porter. Other than that, a very enjoyable beer.
