4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
In tap at brewery. Pours inky black with small beige head that disappears quick. Nose of big bourbon, licorice, molasses, chocolate.big in the mouth but enough carb to help overcome how cloying it is. Tate is sweet with same flavors as nose but throw in some dark fruits. Great beer for sure. I want more than one glass, which is the limit here

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a bomber into a goblet on 01.04.15.
A: Milk chocolate, cocoa, and slight tobacco.
A: 3 finger fluffy brown head that is retained. Midnight black body with some red at the bottom of the glass.
T: Milk chocolate and cocoa dominate. Slight woodiness, tobacco, and slight dark fruit are subtle.
P: Creamy smooth. The mouthfeel is not quite medium chewy, but just right.
O: It’s a cocoa bomb. It has a great fluffy, mousse-like mouthfeel. Other than cocoa, the flavors are pretty subtle, but detectable.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz bomber, served in a tulip. Pours dark brownish black with a thick dark mocha head that lingers well. Aroma is deep roasty chocolate malt, dark bittersweet chocolate, and a bit of oak on the back. Taste is unbelivabably smooth dark chocolate malt, thick creamy mouthfeel, lightly crisp chocolatey finish. Tons of malt, drinks rich. I’ve probably said this too often, but this beer is just begging to be aged in bourbon barrels.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber. Pitch black pour topped with a dense layer of creamy cappuccino foam. Sharp notes of bittersweet chocolate, charred malt, espresso and molasses in the aroma. Taste starts with an aggressive dose of dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt with a bit of toffee, vanilla and licorice in the mix. Mouthfeel is moderately thick and chewy with medium carbonation and more roast malt and chocolate in the finish. Also some resiny hops bitterness in the background. As expected, it meets all the requirements of a high quality Imperial Stout.
