The Morrighan was a Celtic goddess of war that would sometimes take the form of a raven in battle. Our Morrighan takes the form of deliciousness in a glass instead. Brewed in the classic dry Irish stout style, this black brew delivers a punch of flavor without weighing you down. Starts with flavors of light caramel, fades to chocolate and then ends with a roasted coffee-like finish. Dispensed on nitro for a smooth and creamy pint.

Sample at the brewpub. Black pour with a medium thin and creamy light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Slippery patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee and malt. Light body with a sweet roasty character and notes of mild coffee and chocolate malt. The finish is short and sweet with a chocolate aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

this was a nice tasty stout. I think I need to give it a round 2 though because I started this glass after some food.

Pours a very dark brown with light foam. Feels thin, but has plenty of flavor and is solid stout.

Tap at the brewery.

Roast coffee nose, pure ash flavor, thin to boot. This one is the uncontested dog of the night.

draft at the brewery. jet black with the dense and creamy disc ya get off nitro. mild chocolatey nose with a bit of roast, stunted aromatically by the nitro. creamy, flattish medium body. great roasty chocolate mid palate, but too mild compared to what it could be. chalky mild finish. certainly blows away the g.

On tap at the brewery. Pours opaque brown with a tan head and clings. Flavors of sweet chocolate and caramel. The taste was unfortunately a bit too syrupy-chocolate for me, although I liked the dry finish. Palate was a little thin

Draft at brewpub. Pours deep black coffee brown with a creamy nitro tan head. Lots of iced coffee aroma is first thing I get...roasty and acidic. Also a nice complementary balance of chocolate and some nuttiness. Body is a bit thin and maybe a tad watery with good creamy nitro carb feel. Tons of roasty slightly sweet coffee upfront with light acidic notes. Light chocolate as well a touch of toasted nut, solid nitro stout.

Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 25/09/2009 Coffee roast aroma. Black smooth and a little rich on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry roast malt finish.
