Malts: 2-Row Barley, Crystal, Special B, Chocolate
Hops: Magnum, Mt Hood

Ravens in the Scottish Highlands were once thought to possess the gift of second sight, the ability to see future events before they occur. Second Sight is built around malted barley with hops playing a balancing role. This beer is ruby in color with large malt aromatics, delicious malt flavors and a full bodied finish. Available year-round.

Tap at Devil Craft. Cola, or maybe Dr pepper. Malty sweetness, blackberries. Interesting. Nice doesn’t feel like a scottish ale. When warms up, bit more maltiness, and what you’d expect. Fudge and toffee.

Dark amber color with beige head. Elegant caramel brew, with light rye bread feeling; correct bitterness.

On tap at Black Raven, pours a clear dull amber with a small beige head. Aroma reveals notes of dry caramely bready malt. Flavour is caramely and bready malt-heavy, with a little syrupy quality without being cloying. Decent attempt.

Growler: A heavy ale that tastes great. A little sticky but other than that, no complaints. Will drink again.

Draught:   Bright copper, thin to moderate foamy tannish head, somewhat nice lacing.   Fairly assertive nutty aroma, bready, but not too much in the way of peat or smoked/charred wood.   Soft breadiness on the tongue, malty, a bit nutty, with very soft mealy notes.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft finish, not too big.   Malty, but a touch of cereal lingers.   Wished it were a bit sweeter, has a slight astringent maltiness, perhaps husky straw type bitterness.   Otherwise decent.

Draft at Black Raven. Aroma: Dark fruit; toffee; candy. Smells wicked sweet.

Appearance: Ruby red-brown. Clear. No head.

Taste: Big malt presence without being too sweet; slight bitterness in the finish. A lot of toast/biscuit in the taste up front.

Palate: Slick, sticky, mouth-coating; full body, average-to-soft carbonation.

On draught at Elephant & Castle in Seattle during a "Meet The Brewers" event. The beer pours dark brownish-amber with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is malty with some caramel and hops notes. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, resiny hops and caramel. The finish is sweet with an earthy malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
