Whatever problems may have occurred with the initial batch seems to have been solved in the latest incarnation. Full body, light carbonation. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, figs, brown sugar. Tons of flavor, much like the aroma. This is a pretty great little sipper.

Bottle. Brown pour with tan head. Some bourbon, than a total take over of scotch and woody tones. Strong alcohol, oak, peat and spice tones.

Draft at Chuck’s. Pours clear dark copper with no head. Aroma is dominated by bourbon. So much bourbon -- like a whiskey cream soda cocktail if they make such things. If they don’t, then maybe they should. Taste is sweet, boozy, dark fruit and molasses mixed with the aforementioned whiskey cream soda cocktail. Palate: full body, syrupy texture.

Dark amber color, clear. The aroma is mildly vinous, oxidized, whiskey barrel. Lean body, quite sweet, but the booze balances the sweetness; caramel flavor, with bourbon whiskey; low bitterness.
May be pleasant to drink, but it’s simplistic, and it’s messy.

12oz bottle, received as an extra in trade. Thanks Ben! Pours a clear, color brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma is whiskey, vanilla, some dark fruit, raisin, cherry. Medium on the palate with light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, oak, raisin, with a sweet, bourbon finish. Nice. The bourbon dominates.

Generic tulip on draft at Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle. Dark ruby colored brew. Aroma is slightly candy and earthy as I would expect for a strong scotch ale. Some general booze off the scotch but works fine enough for the style. Leafy malt earthiness with some booze and a non sugar candy character. Flavor is surprisingly not over the top. Alcohol is light with a clean medium bodied with a slightly slick feeling. Again, earthy caramel sweet without sugar. So, strong but not too much, very appropriate to style, clean... what more to ask for. Its a bit too clean for the style but otherwise real good.

On tap at Black Raven, pours a clear dull amber with a small beige head. Aroma reveals big notes of bourbon upfront, with lots of booze and vanilla in there as well. Flavour is a huge vanilla and bourbon bomb, with a big alcohol kick well. I can see how this would be difficult to drink in large quantities, but in this smaller sample, this is a delightful sipper. A nice huge bourbon bomb.

Red wine like color is hazy with a light tan foam. Bourbon, sherry, and oak on the nose. Heavy toffee and malt body that tastes a little tart towards the finish. Finish is red apple. I would definitely drink this again.

Pour at the brewery. Strong taste of wood and spirits. Tastes more like whiskey than beer. One of the best. Amazing.

Draft at tap room. Pretty clear mahogany color with very little head. Blackboard says 11.1 ABV. Bourbon is the standout flavor. Having trouble identifying anything else. Overall very good. Will buy a couple bottles
