Light soft aroma of young bananas, almost green and a touch of liquid sugar upon warming up. Pale gold with a tall fluffy bright white head, great lacing and retention. Very gentle with banana and soft with wheat, but long in flavor. Toned down, not tuned out. Great Kristal.

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2011 Clear golden pour, lots of visible bubbles sparkling within, moderate white head. Bubblegum, grass, clove, and banana nose. This has a light wheat flavor with more of the aforementioned aromatics to it, a little citrus, definitely more clove and bubblegum than banana. I was surprised to find that I prefer the light effervescence of this to the unfiltered hefeweizen version.

Tap at the brewpubs. My first iPad rating (yeah, i suck).
Very clear chardonnay pour, sweet grassy nose, lovely little wine thing going on with just a bit of sour woody bite; I love it. Splendid session beer.

Draft at Naked City. Wow, another exactingly made session beer--awesome! Bright, pale gold with tons of sparkling rising carb. Dense, creamy white head. Mild grassy nose. Crisp, sparkling body. Grass, nuts, toasty wheat, and sweet floral notes on the mid-palate. Mild finish. Very refreshing and clean beer...gorgeous addition to the summer session beer lineup.

5/1/09 on draft at the taproom. Aroma is highly phenolic with plastics dominating and a sweet banana background. Appearance is clear yellow with a well maintained white head. Flavor is tangy sweet grain forward with a light peppery background. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a moderate carb texture. Overall, very easy drinking with moderate complexity that shines through.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2012 Growler @ Armin’s house, courtesy of Azurescens. Thanks Dan! Clear golden appearance with a fluffy, white head. Pretty spicy, light clove, sort of husky wheat aroma. Well carbonated. Pretty rich bready, spicydull, grainy wheat flavor with notes of lemon and honey and a bit of tartness. Some acidity from the carbonation. Easy drinking and a nice summer beer.

Pour out of growler, thanks Aaron! Pour is clear yellow with creamy white head, aroma brought notes of slight sweaty socks, banana and slight wheat, hints of clove, touch of vanilla, grainy notes as well. Taste is nice sweet biscuit, vanilla, hints of sweet fruity notes, slight banana, touch of spice but fairly muted, finishing fairly sweet but dries out well. This is definitely tasty.

Soft wheat malt, a little bread and cereal grain as well as lemon and soft german hefe yeast. Pours golden, thin white head. Flavors of wheat malt, cereal grains, a hint of honey and moderate bavarian hefe yeast, light banana and clovey notes. Nice carbonation, crisp and bright finish. I like this one.
