4/14/09 On draft at the taproom. Aroma is semi-sweet roast with no dark toast or hop character. Appearance is clear brown with a very well maintained cream colored head. Flavor is lightly sweet malt forward with moderate earthy bittering and a lingering sourness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slight astringency and medium carb feel. Overall, quite drinkable and good roast complexity, takes a couple of minutes to open up, though.

Light body with a sweet malty character and notes of mild coffee, chocolate and caramel. The finish is sweet and malty with a hint of hops in the aftertaste. Above average overall.

Brown-bodied, not much head and light carbonation. Easy biscuit nut brown nose that translated into a dry, cleanly roasty, baked biscuit body with just the slightest hint of nut. Dry finish. Solid, but not too memorable.

Draft at the pub. Lots of coffee for a porter, again Tom nails the descriptor with "Graham cracker" (Never thought to describe a beer that way, but the flavor is definitely there big time in this one). This is coffee and golden grahams for breakfast. Nice.
