COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A totem is an entity that watches over and represents a clan or tribe. Totem pale represents us well with its citrus hop flavor. The Totem Pale is built on a firm foundation of ESB and crystal malts with generous citrus hop additions. We believe that you will also want to make the Black Raven your totem. Available year-round.

Combo rating between me and my wife. So I would have a tick down. Nice amber hue with odd white head. Great lacing too. Nose is spicy hops and quite generous for a pale ale. Flapcor has an initial burst of hops but not heavy. Good balance of bready malt. Really nice for a standard pale.

Hazy amber, beige head.Musty citrus nose. Citrus hop profile, medium length and strength hop bitterness in finish. Needs a touch more malt

Pours a strong golden. Sweet and aromatic with floral hops. Not the most bitter pale ale, but more bitter than the IBUs would lead one to believe.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice malt and hops balance. Light fruit flavors along with a good dry finish. This beer was easy drinking and very tasty.

Amber brown pour, rather dark for a pale ale. White foam on top. Quite bubbly, overall.Smells of biscuit, light toast, grass, earth, citrus. Tastes similar, more biscuit, toast, citrus, herbal and earthy qualities. Light bodied, but a bit heavier than I usually expect from a pale.

Draft at the brewpubs. Nice strong pawn pale aroma, and then maybe the most aggressive hop edge I’ve ever en in an APA. Tom’s adjective garlicky is ingenious. I have never thought to call a beer this before, but this one is actually garlicky. Pretty darn session able, nice beer.

Rich foamy head with a light amber color. Heavy malt flavor. Dissapates fairly cleanly but leaves a nice coating of malt behind.

On tap at the brewery. Pours pinky orange with minimal head. Earthy hop aroma with some pine. Taste, after initial pine flavor, is primarily bitter grapefruit peel that lingers and lingers. Not bad but it doesn’t seem like a pale to me.
