3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Safeco field, nice amber beer, little head in the clear solo. At the risk of sounding mundane, this I just another excellent west coast IPA. Aroma of spruce and citrus, taste spruce, juicy citrus, a little pale malt. Palate smooth and rich, carbonation fresh but not too bright. Pretty good!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bomber into a pint glass.
L: a nice dark gold, very clear, diminishing head.
S: great nose. Big distinct grapefruit and pine notes working in harmony.
T: any citrus is dumbed down in the taste, the piney hop takes front stage.
F: a very bitter finish, but very drinkable if IBUs are your thing. It coats the tongue a tad.
O: I’m not sure. I feel a bit short changed after that wonderful aroma. Taste wise, there’s nothing to set this apart from the pack. Would drink again though.

T: Grapefruit, flower, and honey malt dominate. Pine is subtle and lingering. P: Smooth and easy drinking. It has a little bit of resin. O: It’s great with food.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
650 ml bottle Nate P. carried back from his West Coast trip. Color is an orange / clear gold. Aroma is citrus, light floral with sweet malts.
The balance between hops and malt is rather good although it does lean a tad on the sweet side. The hops and bitterness comes from a mixture of citrus and pine and mild floral hints. The brew shows a mild trace of alcohol in the finish. Citrus and floral are more present than pine. Can tell this bottle was fresh from the brewery because the hops are still alive in well. It a nice standard IPA.
