3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Black Raven. Clear light amber pour with a minimal head leaving a coarse lace. Grassy hops nose which gives way to a tart grapefruit beginning. Has a medium-heavy, medium roast malt body tasting of toast, caramel and biscuit. Not balanced like an IPA. Finish is short with fading bitter hops and a sucrose sweetness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery on 8-4-10. A very solid IPA. Pours a clear deep gold with a nice white head on top. Big hop aroma and firm bitterness. Slightly biscuit/toasty malt character in the background without being sweet or too heavy. Crisp and dry with a medium body. Finish is bitter and hoppy but does not linger leaving you wanting another sip. Very nice example of an American/West Coast IPA.

Washington Brewers Festival 2010 – Kenmore, WA
Golden in color, clear with a thin head. Nice hoppy aroma with a good earth and fruity aromas lingering. Nice malt flavor with that spice and hops presence to make this a wonderful brew. The hops where floral with some fruit qualities. A tasty little treat for the day.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
From Skyview, as Inauguration IPA. A good ipa. The flavor and aroma are right, with citrus and bitter hops, but what is there is far too light. A lack of palate really hurts this beer. Gold color.

Growler sample. Clear pumpkin colored pour, tons of carbonation and good aroma of hops and orange zest. Flavor was also hops, bitter orange and finished slightly sweet. Not bad, would like to try this on tap.
