On tap @ Malt and Vine. Pours dark golden with thin head. Aroma is light hops and bready malts. Taste is crisp citrus hops with balanced caramel toasted malts. Both the hops and malt stick with you through the finish. Maybe the fact that you can only get this on draft makes this better? Either way, one of the top 2 or 3 Washington IPAs around.

On tap @ FX McRory’s, Seattle. Light orangish-amber, low off white head. Dull dull dull. Maybe it’s because I had this after Lagunitas Sumpin’ Weisse, but man it was just not good. Tea-like and herbal, malt-dominated, lacking brightness, lacking punch. This beer did not do it for me.

Seattle Taproom, Seatac. Golden-Amber with a frothy head. Aroma is dry and woody. Chewy up front, with a caramel forward with dryish hop note. Sort of old school but not really - a lighter malt chewiness, with some biscuit. I guess I’d prefer not to talk so much about the malt when drinking IPA but ok.

From notes: 22 oz bottle pours copper/orange with a thick foamy cream colored head leaving tall lacing. Aroma is of grapefruit hops. The taste is of pine, grapefruit pith, and juniper hops. Mouthfeel is active and a little thin in the finish. Well balanced.

Draft pour. Pours a light golden color with a mild sweet aroma. Good balance of hops and malt here. Hips more towards the finish. Solid IPA. Had several times over and it hasn’t gotten old.

One of My favorite WA brewers and IPA’s. What I love about this beer is the great use of quality malts and pack in the flavor of a balance hop on the back end. Will drink this every time.

Amber with a nice foam. This is more an English IPA with grass and floral hop aromas. Malty body that’s not too bitter. Finish is mildly sweet but short.

Solid well balanced IPA. Slightly sweet malt notes. Pine is primary hop note. Sufficient bitterness. Quite drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a small white head on it. Nose is grassy, with some hints of black pepper coming through for me. Taste is moderately bitter, with pepper coming through as well. Seems to have a nice spicy bite to it. Interesting.
