Amber color with compact head. The aroma is hoppy, a bit fruity. Dry and lean mouthfeel, toasty malts flavor, and good bitterness level; the hops are quite resiny.
Nice.

hopscotch (9370) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 2, 2009
Growler… Hazy orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention eventually leaves interesting lacework. The nose is of resin, pine and tropical fruits. Medium to full-bodied with soft carbonation. The flavor is of sweet toffee and earthy bitterness. Bittersweet finish. Thanks to SoLan for sharing his bottle!

Dogbrick (8507) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 8, 2012
Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium off-white head that evaporates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of fresh citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of floral hops, citrus and caramel malt. The finish is hoppy with a grapefruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

My Bottom Line:
This crisp American IPA’s polished flavor profile showcases a seamless interaction between citrusy aromatics, honeyed, biscuity malt subtleties and wooden resins in the finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the shiny copper-laden golden, lacing nicely.
-The execution on this one is impressive. This is really professional.
-The mouthfeel is slick and slender, lending great drinkability.
-I guess the only thing missing for me would be tad more personality, but that’s just nitpicking. This is a beautifully-rendered example of the style, flavorful and quenching.

On tap at Brouwer’s Café.

mcberko (6876) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 25, 2014
On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Nose brings out biscuit malt, piney hops, and dry zesty notes. Flavour is very dry, with biscuity zesty malt, floral hops, and herbal piney notes. Very smooth and dry. Great IPA.

5000 (6298) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAR 6, 2011
Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Golden, slight coppery hue, fairly clear otherwise, moderate white head, mild carbonation, nice lacing.   Hoppy on the nose, slight citrus rind.   More citrus rind on the tongue than the nose suggested.   Otherwise hoppy with a slight dank basement presense.   Finish has a little bit of earthiness to it.   Fairly well balanced.   A not so over the top bitter PNW IPA.   Respectable!

Growler. Thanks, Homebrew! Gorgeous rubied medium amber. Dense, creamy gray head. Mango-y mild nose. Creamy medium body. Firm carb. Decent hop presence on the mid-palate. Could stand a fair bit more hop presence, just about everywhere, though. Biscuity malts under that. Mild finish. A bit thin, and more of an APA than an IPA, but tasty and drinkable, so it gets a few extra notches on the overall.
