Dark copper pour w/ a small head. Nice c-hop aroma. Dry, peppery hop flavors, ample resin, hint of sweetness coming in behind but never forefront -- darn solid IPA. A pleasant surprise.

A good example of a NW IPA, bright citrus hops and a fairly clean finish with slightly sweet caramel notes. No major flaws, well balanced. Very good. theisti (1700), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 13, 2009 12 oz schooner at the Black raven tasting room. Pour is golden copper with a smallish white head. Light lacing. Aroma of hop pine orange citrus and bready caramel malt
- nice balance. Taste is the caramel malt bit over the hops, though they
come through nice with pine and citrus. Gets a little dirty in the end. Palate is medium, nice level of carbonation. Nice enough. AmEricanbrew (2021), Almost, Texas, USA

Golden pour with a big frothy white head with good retention. Some visible carbonation. Nose is grassy and piney. Flavor is primarily resin and citrus hops with some sweetness. Grapefruit definitely comes through in the flavor, and I really like the smoothly bitter finish. A very tasty west coast IPA. Every time I try this I seem to want to rerate it higher. carruthm (1187), Seattle, Washington, USA
