Tap at Fiddler’s.

Dark copper pour w/ a small head. Nice c-hop aroma. Dry, peppery hop flavors, ample resin, hint of sweetness coming in behind but never forefront -- darn solid IPA. A pleasant surprise.

The Black Raven pours about 6 different beers from their taproom and the Trickster is probably their best. A good example of a NW IPA, bright citrus hops and a fairly clean finish with slightly sweet caramel notes. No major flaws, well balanced. Very good.

12 oz schooner at the Black raven tasting room. Pour is golden copper with a smallish white head. Light lacing. Aroma of hop pine orange citrus and bready caramel malt - nice balance. Taste is the caramel malt bit over the hops, though they come through nice with pine and citrus. Gets a little dirty in the end. Palate is medium, nice level of carbonation. Nice enough.

Clear amber color with a fleeting head. Pine and grapefruit hop aromas. . Smooth medium body. Same pine and citrus in the flavor with sweet caramel malts.

Pours an orange gold with lots of lacing. Aromas of earth, yeast, bread, faint citrus, and sugar. Palate was a bit weak. Beer tastes of peppery hops and is fairly smooth.

Growler right from the brewery. Golden pour with a big frothy white head with good retention. Some visible carbonation. Nose is grassy and piney. Flavor is primarily resin and citrus hops with some sweetness. Grapefruit definitely comes through in the flavor, and I really like the smoothly bitter finish. A very tasty west coast IPA. Every time I try this I seem to want to rerate it higher.

Clear yellowish gold tint with lots of lacing. Notable hoppy aroma. Slightly honeyed nose. Taste is lightly bitter.
