On tap at Ølfestival 2011. It pours a black body topped by a dense, finger-thick light brown head. Licorice, roasted malts, some coffee and alcohol, and sweetness on the nose. The flavor is maybe a bit on the sweet side, with roasted malts and coffee to keep it company. Full-bodied and almost sticky on the palate, yet smooth, even though there’s also a bit too much carbonation. Roasted finish with sweetness and some coffee. Nothing extraordinary going on here, but it’s a nice beer, that’s for sure. 100528

Draught @ Olfestival 2011 Kobenhavn. Black with a tiny brown head that lasts and reminds of an espresso thin head. Sweet roastred malty aroma, with chocolate and caramel. Chcolate malty flavour, with some vanilla, caramel and coffee. Roasted finish.

On tap at KØ-2011. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is smoked, , roasted, coffee. Flavour is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, smoked, licorice, chocolate. Nice beer.

Draft @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty licorice and chocoalte aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice flavor with weak hints of dark fruit. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice finish.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, ink and ash. Sweet licorice and chocolate dominated flavour with fruity notes. Roasted and somewhat ashy finish, but all in all a well balanced beer

De barril. Black colour, beige medium head. Pleasanta roma of roasty malt with chocolate and coffee. Good mouthfeel. Flavour has a good roasted maltiness with chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and liqourice towards the finish.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours a pitch black beer with a chocolate head. The aroma is malt, roasted, dried fruit, coffee and licorice. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is dry with roasted notes. Overall a good beer.

Draught@CPH BF 2011. Quite much pitch black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, roasted malts,, some smoked wood as well as dark riped fruits. Flavour is dark riped fruits, liquorice, some alcohol as well as some slight grassy hops. Balanced.
