UPDATED: APR 20, 2011 On tap at KØ-10. It’s a hazy, brownish beer with a nice, dense, finger-thick off-white head. Roasted nose with dark chocolate and a touch of dried fruits. Roasted, almost burnt flavor with coffee and chocolate. The bitterness is of the roasted kind, both initially and in the aftertaste. Dryish, yet sweet, and full-bodied. A nice one, well suited for the dark months. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. 100507

Bottle. It pours a hazy, dark copper to brown body and a dense, beige head. Roasted nose with a sourish touch. Some chocolate and coffee, hints of licorice. The flavor is pretty much the same, quite roasted that is. Medium to full body. Well, it’s a nice beer, but compared to what I tasted at the beer festival in Copenhagen, I’m disappointed. Still, it’s far from bad. 110420

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy mahogany colour, small head. Toffee aroma. Sweet and fruity with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly with a whiffoforange, salty spicy somewhat resiny finish. Quite harmonious.
