Bottle; Pasteurised.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

Nose is caramel, slight banana undertones, sweet, sligthly earthy; alright. Taste is muted, very nutty, sweet leading to light fruits and then an earthy finish. Itís a decent enough supermarket beer.

Extremely nutty flavor for my liking, with a weak lager-like aroma. Decent price so must say I would enjoy again.

Malty sweetness shines through, honey notes. Cloudy golden colour with good head. Bitter hop flavour up front and in finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Decanted into oversize jug, to de-carbonate and concentrate aromas, before pouring into Nonic pint glass. Said aroma is superb sweet íní sour malt íní hops, which diminishes somewhat when poured into glass. Dense ivory white head, with some lacing. Flavour is initially hop-dominated, with toffee apple malt coming through gradually: a bitter ale in the classic Yorkshire style.

Darkish pour with a creamy off white head. Earthy aroma with nice malt flavours. Probably one of the better ales I have had.

Very English ale and a great classic in its style, as is clearly attested here. Creamy, off-white, stable head, colour a deep orange blonde with copper hue, clear. Nose gets flowery hops, cake, pear, whisky, gooseberry, caramel, bitter honey. Taste a soft and gentle fruitiness, some apple, honeyish and caramelly malts, towards the finish a widely spreading oily and aromatic hoppiness, very pleasant, soft and flowery and lasting for quite a long time.

Bottle @ Barely Legal Tasting Room . Pours clear, light amber . Smell is rather intense, sweet , typical maltyness . Some faded floral aspects, yet hoppy does not come to mind .. Taste is quite surprisingly bitter , with a sugary sweetness in the back ( very clear that that is sugar - tastewise - ) It has got rather much, yet doable , amount of carbonation. Finish is rather sharp bitter . Many co-operating tasteaspects making this beer to have an intense taste, yet all aspects themselves are elegantly gentle . Nice bitter , for sure, but I expected more since the 95 % on style .

Bottle, gift from Dad. Amber body with a thin white head that holds well. Aroma of earth, wood and tea. Flavour of caramel, tea, lime and grass. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A subtle, tasty Bitter. Very enjoyable.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice hazy golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light foamy lacing that trickled down the glass in a nice speckled sort of way. The smell had some nice light fruity and slight sweet nuttiness. The soapiness normally smelled in English pale ales is tamed fairly well in this one. The taste was mainly sweet through the fruits and nuts. On the palate, this one had a super long dry and sweet finish with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Overall, nice English pale ale that would probably be a go to for me if I lived in the distro of this thing.
