"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

I enjoyed the crisp dry mouth feel and it was in many ways a typical English bitter. The finish showed the golding hops well.

Woody aroma. Bronze with finger or so of head. Very dry ale, very British. Slowly some woody vanilla notes come out and a pleasant bitterness lingers. Nice story behind it, but it just reminds me of a super dry pub ale. Satisfying.

Pours a medium to dark amber with a large frothy off-white to beige head. Taste is bittersweet caramel, black tea, a little bit of vegetation. Heavy on caramel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Malt forward sweet easy drinking ale. Easy and traditional. A bit lacking in taste. Just a whole lot of caramel.

Brown/copper pour with minimal head. Some grassy hop aromas along with light toast. Slightly watery mouthfeel (expected in a mild ale). Finishes mildly bitter. Pretty good overall.

500ml bottle. Pours a rusty brown with little head. Starts with a big kick of maltiness and funky hops with a yeasty note leading to a long clean bitter finish.

Bottle at bar. Copper in the glass with a retiring head. Smells like a classic English bitter and tastes like it too. Rather heavy in the mouth and in the stomach - I slept well that night. Fairly typical example of the style and none the worse (nor better) for it.
