50 cl. bottle @ home, gist from Rick. Pours amber with a thick off-white head. Has a distinct hop aroma reminding me of weed. Nice bitter and malty taste and a surprisingly full body given its ABV.

Decent bitter. Mildly hoppy and with strong malt taste with notes of black tea, quite a dry finish. A good honest bitter!

Flaske 0,5l. Gave fra Rune. Cavern Beat Ale. Drukket hjemme 6 Okt 13. Gyldenbrunt. HÝyt bobleskum med litt lacing. Skummet varer noen minutter. Forsiktig aroma. Spor av fersken. Smaken er litt malt. Blir syrlig etter hvert. Avslutter tÝrt. KI=4.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
DATE TASTED: February 1, 2014... GLASSWARE: Hobgoblin pint...OCCASION: prepping for the Super Bowl with Blades of Glory... APPEARANCE: orange-amber, semi-translucent body akin to tea; white, frothy, thin head; lacing twists and turns somewhat seductively... AROMA: luxuriant scotch-like notes; light, buttery English muffin; some malty elements too--attractive... PALATE: active, medium-bodied and drinkable; a pub compatriot for certain...TASTE: buttery, slightly doughy malts as an ESB would be; mellow with an unmistakable, oaky, highland fortitude; a dry, thin finish akin to sherry--though not nearly as powerful... OVERALL: A pleasant draught from a brewery Iíve had little else from, but in seeking to rate this beer (one Iíd last drunk in 2005, if my records are accurate), I am pleased with the experience; itís no nonsense, light fragrance invites quick sips and rewards with thirst-quenching malts and enough hops to achieve a worthwhile balance ....

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber red body, almost clear and with a lasting head. Biscuit and pilsner malts, bit metallic, not much hop presence. Soft amber malts taste, full enough, certainly for the abv. Very fitting carbonation. Fits well with food, on its own itís not too impressive. (50cl bottle from La Cave ŗ Bulles)

Nice interpretation of the style. Crisp and refreshing, if they were trying to brew a good solid session ale, then they have achieved their goal. Nicely balanced, refreshing cereal bready malt with a traditional English hop variety in the finish.
