2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 iambeer (255) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 22, 2005
Lightly bittered, a large foamy head that disapated quicky. Almost no nose at all, a tinge of citrus, not bad but like yainikim say "not an ale"

This beer was not bad but it was not anything to write home about. Orange and fizzy, with a big puffy head and a little bit of lacing. The flavor is very light and citrusy, with an acidic aftertaste, that is just not very easy to drink. Overall it is very light and thin, with little to no complexities.
1.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 asheft (2072) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 20, 2004
Straw-copper colour; foamy lasting head. Sweet aroma of mostly malt and noble hops, some subtle fruity notes. Flavour unidentifiable beneath a cloying metallic and astringent feel. I’l have to try another bottle in case something went wrong with this bottle/batch.

Alcohol not well hidden (tastes late 5%’s). Didn’t really like this much at all, too sour.

Had a grassy/sweaty smell. Very grain-like and hoppy. The color is a nice amber with good lacing. The head was a bit rocky and off-white. The flavor was rather lacking and uninteresting. It has a dry, vinegar quality to it that finishes with a synthetic, hospital feel.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 futre7 (84) - Taipei, TAIWAN - OCT 1, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2011 Pours a murky brown/orange with a thin head. Feint malty aroma. Taste is bitter malt with hops. This ale is cleaner and crisper than most with some carbonation. Overall it’s bitter and not quite sweet enough for me but I can see why some would like it. Indeed it’s popular in the borders of England especially.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 BINGEBOT (237) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 2, 2007
Bitter hoppy and kind of sour in smell. Golden in colour, thick white lacing head. Pretty fizzy. Wow, very metallic and slighty hoppy in taste, but it’s kind of growing on me.

Bottle. Aroma of flowery hops. Taste... good grief... bitter as hell, like licking that fingernail biting stuff. My brain kept concentrating on the bitterness and didnt stop to identify other flavours. Watery on palate. Wont drink again, but at least it HAS a flavour...

Well maybe I got a bad bottle b/c this was by no means good or acceptable. Smelled poorly, tasted poorly, bad mouthfeel. It was like a semi-bad beer and I got the funky one of the batch. A bit of DMS, a bit sour, etc. At least I got a nice bottle to re-use with something worth drinking.
