2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the Drill Inn. Pours a cloudy amber colour. Not too much to say. Standard UK bitter really. Almost tastes like mushrooms! Actually didn’t think it was that bad.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Woodmans Rest, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head and lots of clingy lace. The aroma is malt, light hop. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a light, slightly watery malt, strong hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Not so keen on the hop combo here.

Cask in some working mens club, Stockport, Greater Manchester. Clear darkish gold with a thick creamy white head. Malty aroma and floral hops. Taste is pretty much the same. Not offensive just boring.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2014 Light amber beer, light-medium carbonation. A little oily on the palate. Nice caramel maltiness, followed by crisp citrus and peppery hops. Bit of a wierd doughy, buttery finish.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask @ The Clarendon, Leicester. Your traditional brown coloured brown bitter. I really like black sheep best bitter as when I was a young man (read teenager) I loved black sheep best, so the brewery is nostalgic to me. That being said, This isn't exactly the best beer I've drunk and it has that muddy yeasty taste that black sheep has. And I don't live in Yorkshire any more so it's not exactly 10 a penny any more. I like it. Boring old mans beer that it is.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask at the Goose, Bracknell. Hazy golden amber with a dense white head; simple malty aroma; soft and malty in the mouth with some treacle toffee; then a light bitterness before a biscuity finish. A pleasant, straightforward Yorkshire bitter.
